This is worse than the NCAA allegations and probation in the early 1990s.

I think there's a lot on the table here including moving to the ACC. If anything comes out that JB and the University did anything to cover this up in anyway than the ACC may very well pull back their invitation for SU, and probably deservedly so. I bet they are even laying out thier options right now, just in case.

I have no clue what to believe now, except Fine did molest this kid, that much is pretty obvious. All the Monday morning lawyering I see below means nothing. He did this, unless the kid, man now, is a world class tape manipulator, and Fine whatever he gets. I have no issue with his sexuality but if you do it to a kid it's unexcusble. I think this kid deserves justice, first and foremost and I just hope this doesn't pull down the University and the program along with it.

To me this has the potential to effect everything from recruits to existing players to the whole kit and kaboodle. And I don't think that is an overstatement. As one guy said below, I believe the worst now, and expect dead biodies from the back yard at any second. No place to go but up from here.

That's a huge if though, and I don't believe SU covered anything up. The fall out will end at JB with a recruiting stigma for a year or two.

As others have said, we still have history, the Melo Center, the Carrier Dome and the ACC. We will be fine in a few years.

Well one I'm not hyped up. But 2 really calm down? The assistant BB coach on a Nationally recogonized program that I have believed in all my life has just been caught, alledgedly, molesting one person for 10 years or more. That coach had access to how many young men in that time period? thousands? And I'm to calm down? I think you need to get excited and start thinking about the implications here to the program, the university and to Syracuse. The best case scenario in all fo this is that e did, acted alone or with his wife at least and that the allegations were investigated throughly and no more information coems out. I believed in bernie upo until that tape, now I don't believe anything except he did it. Now I'm waiting for the next shoe to drop and the woodwork start to bleed revelations. There is no explaining away that tape especially now that it's been authenticated. They all presumably heard in 2005 so why are we just talking about it in 2011? I mean really, is that tape something you say is faked without any verification.

Bottom line, a young boy, 12, was molested and no one should be calm about that. All the rest is secoundary. You minmize it all you want.

This seems like a good idea. I'm sure we could all come up with some really bad worse case scenarios but what's the point of speculating in that direction.

I'm not one to get carried away so I'm a little surprised I'm out in the stratosphere on this one. The way I look at it, Penn St probably thought the same thing when the Sandusky stuff started. I think the Admin has seemed to address the issue currenlt expeditiously, but there are a lot of questions about that taoe who heard in 2005 and why it is just coming to light now with no action then. This is the lead story on local news here in Colorado, that's local news not national. To me that says something. I have never seen one of these stories stop at this poiint with no futher revelations, we can only hope this is the exs=ception.
