Not the biggest Seth Greenberg fan, but I wonder if he’d consider, in a Martelli role. I get that it’s obv still early, but it would be nice to have someone like that helping Red really learn the HC ropes.

It’s not happening, but in your world, who does he fire?

Maybe Gerry can get a small job somewhere idn. But it would def be nice to have a greenberg type

That move would have been made this year if that’s what was wanted. We brought in Straughn instead.
straughn is strictly there to recruit. And looks like he may be a good addition in that dept. But, ya, it’s not like Gerry or Griff have been world beaters

They just got promoted. Griffin and Gerry have done a good job with development despite what this board thinks. Jesse Edwards, Mike G, Buddy B just to name a few.

Those two have not recruited well and our record with them is pitiful. We don’t have to be loyal to SU guys…

Ok, you’re one of these. Enjoy mediocrity until Hop comes back
Imagine getting promoted at your job and getting told you and your team have to be perfect the first 6 months on the job or else you expect changes immediately. That’s basically what you and a few others here are doing.

If someone moves on I’d like to see Devo on the staff. I think he’d be an amazing recruiter and coach. He’s been through so much and came out on top, if he isn’t a born mentor I don’t know who is. Oh, and basketball runs through his veins.

What prey tell, has Seth ever done that you would fire a Syracuse guy to hire him? Because he was for the most part an unsuccessful Head Coach? No thanks. This is after 5 games. 2 of which were against teams that no coach was going to win. This after wondering if we were going to beat Chaminade. I don't know whether Red will be successful here or not. But bringing in a guy like Seth Greenberg sure isn't the answer. And not for nothing, I don't think he would leave ESPN to go to Syracuse.

We have no offense and are clueless on defense. If chaminade was a real team that could make a shot or layup, we get killed. Whatever, I guess it’s loyalty over winning. I’ll be here when everyone else is calling for a change.

I don’t think John Wooden could get some of these guys where they need to be, a guy with more wins couldn’t. Will be better when there is some roster turnover.

#1 Kansas only managed 83 points against that fake Chaminade team.

UCLA did even worse, putting up a mere 76.

IIRC, this was Chaminade’s worst defeat in Tournament history.

They’re 8-97 overall.

Hard to recruit when the former guy had their hands tied behind their backs. Your lack of patience is a bit annoying.
Lack of patience should be fully understood. We have not been ranked after January in 10 years. Any fan base worth their salt would not be patient right now.

I'm open to a discussion about the assistants but it was just the suggestion of Greenberg that repulsed me
