Would people complain if SU/BC played two games in Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park

I already give up one home game for Met Life and now you want to add another. No way and if that happened why would I buy season tickets for games not at home? PS I have attended two games at Met Life.

So if average attendance was 20000 people would you complain if they went to another Stadium that was going to provide them with enough money to offset the lack of attendance? What would be your tipping point in attendance, if any.

We play in Syracuse. Sometimes its more important than money

Agree with those above that say Fenway and Yankee stadium are not apples to apples for the respective teams.

Fenway had a soccer game a few years ago and the corners were dangerously close to the stands, if they played there I'd be worried they'd have to do the Northwestern @ Wrigley thing.

Ef that. Why does everyone keep wanting to take away our home field advantage?

Pretty much everyone in this thread doesn't.

BC is 5 miles from Fenway. SU is 250 miles from Yankee stadium.

I think some people will complain.

Alliance Bank then, or w.e. the hell its called now.

Ok, this and other threads.

Enough with the NYC games. Syracuse is not in NYC and the majority of Syracuse's fans are not in NYC. They are in Syracuse. If they want to fill the Dome they need to do a regional marketing push. Not try to become "New York's college team."

Totally agree. We are New York State's college team--and right in the center of the state. What more needs to be said?

It would be better if Tennessee and VT played a home and home, it's an interesting non conference matchup. But at least in their case the track is halfway between the two schools and will be completely full.
It will be a spectacle, no doubt. But not really a college football game, IMHO.

Even for games like the Iron Bowl, I think being on the campuses is preferable to being in Bham. I can sorta understand the "field of battle" angle, between two tribal strongholds, but still.

I could get behind an SU game at Weedsport Speedway or Vernon Downs, but not Yankee Stadium.

Being at a track like that, I do agree it might be a little ridiculous. Although I bet it will be one hell of a party.

At least with Birmingham, they are playing in a football field. Do they still play there? I thought that game was permanently moved to Tuscaloosa/Auburn.

I do like watching the Cocktail Party and the Red River Rivalry. I think they work well because 1. They are football stadiums (although the old Cotton Bowl gives the appearance of a dump) and 2. It's a 50/50 crowd and nearly impossible to spot either an empty seat or a neutral fan.

We're just not going to have that. Anywhere, against anyone. 2008 Carrier Dome against Penn State doesn't count.

I just want them to schedule the game on a weekend other than Thanksgiving weekend. Flat out sucks for out of towners and students.

Marsh I am against the Metlife deals if we play road/Metlife deals as those insult the true fanbase. I was just wondering because I know BC is looking to play a game at Fenway and would probably do the Yankee Stadium/Fenway arrangement in a heartbeat.

They can move any home game they want to off campus. Don't know why SU would have to be involved.

I could be wrong as I have heard it every year during basketball season but isn't every game within 500 miles of Syracuse a home game?

That's 2 more than many of the tri-state alums

I guesstimate about half of the Cuse fans at MetLife games live in the NYC area.

BTW, I heard through a VG source that Cuse might be playing Army at Yankee Stadium. What was not clear is if the game was a Cuse or Army home game.

i think 2015 is open for the ANNUAL NYC area game.

we need to start filling those year gaps ASAP.

Army will work.

hell, lets go there too.

Just for the record SU hasn't committed to this I was just asking because I know BC wants to play in Fenway. I am glad people would be against this series as it is starting to sink in how dumb the Metlife/away series would be for the fans. I would love to play a game at Fenway but not at the expense of moving a game to Yankee Stadium.

Would be a shame. Id love to attend a game @ Army.
