I guess my second choice would be Bryan Hodgson. The reason I have some reluctance is that he did say to Red's son that Red would be fired. I hoped he didn't but I have been told by someone who would know, he did. Not something an adult coach should say.

It's sad but I think it is true. We are not the Syracuse program we once were. And we are a risk for a guy like him that will have other top options. I think he will stay at St louis rather than go to Syracuse. I hope I am wrong but our national image is way down.

A lot of our fanbase would be surprised to hear that St. Louis is very well off when it comes an a10 program. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if Schertz is still there next year if the right job (pay, job itself, etc) doesn’t open/come calling.

Hell I can prob get a phone interview phone interview do any job. Will I get the job or show up at their office in a suit prob not.

If JW calls up Gerry to check in is that an interview? Who cares.

Now if Gerry is on campus pitching JW about how things will be different on the hill next year then yea that’s a waste and I hope it doesn’t get to that.

No sorry just implying Hodgson did some guess work. It's not completely disqualifying for me but I do think JW should ask why he said it if he's a serious contender for the job.

I agree that if true, it's definitely a RED (Autry) flag. Is it disqualifying? I don't know. I think it should be addressed, as it would be a classless thing to say.

I don't get the Schertz out of our range comments (not directed at you specifically, others have made similar comments). SU is in a top conference, has a great tradition, and with a good team, one of the best attendance rates in the country. Assuming we can pay, I don't see why he's out of our range. He's coaching at St. Louis, not Duke.

If that’s disqualifying in someone’s eyes then we deserve to suck. The amount of stipulations people want to put on a hire here are ridiculous. And FTR, no inside info, I think he’s the overall leader in the clubhouse.
