The major difference is he said he’s not paying a 5’10 slot WR that $. Big difference from a 6’5 athletic playmaker, although i will say his highlights don’t scream ready to play as soon as he walks on campus. If anything it will help improve our perception if we can hold onto him.Remember the brown quote about Pena and money for a receiver. That’s my take on this. Hope he comes, and I’m not coping (yet).
This isn’t life or death for the program. Lots more important things.
FWIW, New Hampshire was in the FCS playoffs, they got crushed something like 3-52 to an FCS powerhouse but UNH is not a mediocre FCS program. After this year's debacle, I don't trust SU vs. anybody. We’re an early 6 pt dog. ……… couldn’t resist , I’m still on the FB wagon ….at this point.
this unfortunately is the stark reality, no one is going to dismiss the putrid performance of 8 straight games getting blown out and embarrassed.I wouldn't be shocked if he flips, no player of that caliber would risk their career on a team like Syracuse after the total collapse we saw the past 8 weeks.

And the FSU recruiting class last year they only won 3 games as well… except for the 25 guys we signed today, apparently.
That is impressive, that more did not flip.I would have expected more.… except for the 25 guys we signed today, apparently.
Part 2 of having to counter you but here we go, 1. NIL is part of a decision 2. Want to play both sports that is another part of this, Michigan is also a top 5 team in the country in basketball. 3. Every single he’s considering has had a better decade in football than Syracuse. So your point about it being a direct decision on angeli maybe has a little part in it but me and you both know that’s not the top reason.Russell’s decision will be a direct signal about how he feels regarding Angeli at QB. If he stays, it shows confidence in Angeli leading the offense. If he bolts, it’s basically a vote of no‑confidence in rolling with him under center.
SU is not the only one going through this. Many of the historic powers are also waiting to see if their top recruits will sign. There are many others doing the same thing today.I think so too. If I had to bet, I would take Syracuse against the field. But, 18 year old kids, you never know.
Is that what he told you?Russell’s decision will be a direct signal about how he feels regarding Angeli at QB. If he stays, it shows confidence in Angeli leading the offense. If he bolts, it’s basically a vote of no‑confidence in rolling with him under center.

Correction: Many of the OTHER historic powers. Syracuse is a historic power. National champs, Heisman, Hall of Famers. Syracuse IS football history
Unless it’s about money or some other issue.Russell’s decision will be a direct signal about how he feels regarding Angeli at QB. If he stays, it shows confidence in Angeli leading the offense. If he bolts, it’s basically a vote of no‑confidence in rolling with him under center.
Who cares about the boys when the brinks truck backs up?Man, zero chance he gets his boys to Cuse and doesn’t go north with them. They wouldn’t sign under those circumstances. Zero. IMO to be clear.
