Let us all remember that this is the offseason, yet here we are obsessed with Syracuse football. We are relevant. We are drawn in, we are entertained. Of course we want to win this recruiting battle, but no matter what, we are in the game for the first time in decades. It is enjoyable either way. That being said, let's land Calvin Freaking Russell and then many more 5 stars!!!!

Obsessing with Syracuse football recruiting for players that can’t even potentially see the field until the 2026 season during July 4th weekend of 2025. This is not Robinson and Shafer. Not even Marrone and Babers.

So in other words the correct response to that guy asking if he had sources was “I’m completely guessing so I can say ‘I Knew, my sources are good’ if Russell goes Orange tomorrow, and if not he can say ‘Fran is going to get one sooner or later, and when he does it’s going to be spectacular’”

Stop trolling for attention internet people. Let the kid have his moment. And to all the Orange faithful, whatever powers of manifestation you have, use them to get CR to commit2cuse

You know Sam has legit sources right? He paid kids last year. He had Fran on his podcast last year. He doesn’t really need to troll for attention.
 
I know I haven't posted here in a very long time, but I am stopping by to backup Richmond...

I'm hearing CUSE. Fran freaking Brown throwing DARTS. I still can't believe I am living in a world where this is happening.
 
If we get Calvin, it is in part going to be due to Fran not getting severely outbid. Fran can close the gap when he thinks its worth it because his network will give him the extra cash when Fran pounds the table. They trust Fran because of the other times guys require more money and Fran says, sorry your good not great, EVEN IF HIS NETWORK WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT TO HIM.

We will never will all the battles (frankly nobody does) but when Fran locks in (like Samuel last year or McCord before him), Fran has built the trust factor to get what he needs, when he really needs it.

I have absolutely no inside information, but I do work in a business where large sums of money are entrusted with others and the tie breaker is almost always transparency, trust and honesty. The easist way to break that trust is always be talking your book (boy crying wolf) and thats where Frans 'realness' comes back to us in spades.

We don't need to win every battle, just 3-5 every year (4-5 stars) and fill the roster with high end 3 stars and and 3 sleepers scouted by this staff. That's a recipe for a a top 15 team all day, every day.

On top of that we got a dozen former 4-5 stars in the portal that maybe transferred in as 3 stars, but are looking to course correct.
