I thought we ran out of money and then we signed 3 veteran offensive lineman who should compete to start right away, a solid QB who a lot of people hoped would jump in the portal over the winter and a WR who instantly makes us forget about Trebor Pena. Fran is a force of nature. DA-RELENTLESS-T
If Johntay can take a breath, put his head down and keep on the straight and narrow path, I think we win the Maarad Watson trade.
This kid has some growing up to do. If you thought what Pena said in private was bad, you don’t want to know what Cook said about Ewers on X.
Hope for the best………….
Defenses are going to have to adjust their coverage to account for him; keeping a safety back deep and dropping others back as well which well open up other plays for us.I would expect Nixon will move him around. A guy like this is lethal in motion. The defense has to account for him at all times. His burst/speed will be a problem. You ideally want to play physical with him but you better pray you get a good jam on him or you’re going to be in his highlight package. If you play him soft he’s going to break you off on the route stem. Guys like this are five stars for a reason. IF he keeps himself out of trouble, he has the ability to be a first round pick.
I would also expect Nixon to manufacture touches. Line him up in the backfield, jet sweeps, tunnel screens, etc.
Forgiveness is not the same as forgetting. One can forgive a transgression, but not forget what occurred.Yeah, agreed on that. Seemed like a blanket “all mistakes are unforgivable” is a tough row to hoe.
I forgive Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana. I'll never forget the Alamo.Forgiveness is not the same as forgetting. One can forgive a transgression, but not forget what occurred.

at his age and talent, if he does well he's going to the NFL, not to another college teamThe problem i for us, in our situation...if he does well and blows up, he will want a bigger bag than we can offer. We are a stepping stone program!
Was Pena?'yall wasting your money fr' when the reports were Ewers was offered 6M to play college football next year
Needs to mature, sure. Was he wrong? Well...
Was Pena?
Fran's program is exactly what a kid like this needs - I wouldn't call it a boot camp but it has shades of that. This signing will be the ultimate test of DART and is a microcosm of our future. We are going to have to take some character risks, and hope Fran's culture takes.
