Custis, Butler, Harris, Riley, NJ. I think this group is more than adequate to do the job needed the rest of the way. All five have had excellent moments the last two weeks.

Build on it and start turning up the tempo the rest of the way.

Really excited about this group can do the next 8 games.

Can I get something off my chest? BUTLER!

ED has2 ints both to butler in which butler doesn't fight/or even attempt for the ball. His head isn't in the game. He doesn't have it.

He won't start next year. Maybe by the end of this.

Neither interception looked to me to be Butler's fault. Dungey made poor throws.

True. But...

The WR needs to at least TRY to become a DB on those sorts of plays and attempt to break it up so it’s not an INT.
Butler made zero effort on either pick he was involved in.

Now, I think he does a great job blocking, is decent on end-arounds, and has made some nice catches.

But there have been far too many lack of effort plays so far this season too.

yeah, but why when you have easier options and space to throw it and you are not running a tight pattern? there was no safety to worry about

yeah.. but someone said 2 and i just ran with it in this thread.
I meant the Wagner interception, which was also thrown to Butler but really short.

I will half to rewatch that

Neither was Butlers fault. Butler had a great game yesterday. He is one of our guys that can go toe to toe with those guys athletically. He has been coming in nicely. I would like to see him get more opportunities.

i dont get on that first INT why the throw would not either be deep or lead to the middle. it should never be short.

Yup there was nobody behind or in the middle and I definitely don’t think he was trying to back shoulder him. Dungeu should have thrown it deeper that way Butler catches it or nobody does.

Agreed about his athletic ability but he definitely suffers from occasional brain fade. He can be dynamic with the ball in his hands.

We'll probably never know for sure, but I'm reasonably sure he made a bad read on the INT yesterday.

Maybe ED threw it short expecting Butler to give up when he saw the ball in the air. Then it would have been to the perfect spot...

I think you're wrong about the throw yesterday. As bad as it looked, I think Butler may have misread his route. ED was livid. Maybe we'll learn more from Dino?

Yeah... Looked to me that butler thought it was a go route and ED thought he would curl in on a hitch.

One of them had it wrong... Based on ED's reaction, venturing a guess it wasn't him...

All I know is yesterday's interception was severely under thrown. Butler never has a chance.
I realize that. But he and ED are not on the same page. I get the 2 ints were poor throws but like 721 comstock said needs to act as a db on that 1st one and get on the same page with eric on yesterday's.

If I'm Eric I don't have much confidence in him. Consistently good not occasionally ok.
