I don’t agree with moving on from Gait at all but I just have to say that this is my favorite post of the week. Again, anything short of a complete first round collapse/lopsided loss to Harvard & I’m completely behind giving Gait another year to get to the F4 but your analogy had me questioning & second guessing myself for a while. Bravo!

Staff and players do read the board, don't know about Gait himself but they absolutely do read it.

I would say that there is about 0.0001% chance that Gary is aware that Syracusefan.com exists. Tweeter, facebook, sure he knows about that nonsense but he’s worrying about what PhatOrange thinks about his man up.

I don't know. Aren't they all aware of this Board? But I shouldn't talk. I didn't know about it until about 3 or 4 years ago when a friend mentioned it to me. And I've been a big Orange fan for at least 70 years. Then I just lurked for awhile and didn't join until I had something to contribute (or I thought I did).

All of the coaches of the main sports at SU are aware of syracusefan including Gait. Now Phatorange that's another matter but they absolutely are aware of the board and most read it.

I give that recommendations to all parents when they first discover this site. I think coaches are much more qualified to handle it. Gait, Red, Fran aren't getting extended or fired based on what anyone says on here and I doubt any of three take it to heart from what their staff reads on here. Most know its diehards who will fluctuate from week to week and what the attitude will be if the program is struggling or having success.

LoL how'd I get brought into this. I know OOT played at Syracuse ...I love our manup we'd be foolish not to. I've long defended March and his offense and Oderna's D. I love Gaits freewheeling offensive style but there's a lot of slop that can be tightened up and we all know that. Gait I think is just a little too casual for me, I like hard drivers and details. That's why I love Fran Brown. Doesn't make anyone right or wrong it's just style preferences and opinions. Whatever. Carry on, I root for Gait to get CUSE to the FF again so I can bring my kids and we can all celebrate together! Cheers

I think that's the point, it's not about one failed clear it's about a pattern of issues late in games with execution/discipline etc. That said it all worked out thankfully and the team appears re-focused, let's see how Sunday and hopefully beyond goes.

Luck of the draw, it was you or swish, and I happened to type your name in. Gary may be aware of this board but he sure isn’t TomTheLurkerInCato. In all the time I have spent with him, he has never mentioned this board or any of the other fan chat boards. Twitter, that’s another story.

I don’t want to lose our program’s identity and do a complete 180, but they could tighten up at the end of games and I’d like to see less offsides throughout the season. All in all, just win three games and I like our chances on monday with a short turnaround. That game is won by the players not the coaches.
 
Anyone see the new NYE Automobile commercial featuring Gait? I couldn't help but notice they used a full soccer field and a soccer goal as the background. They couldn't find a lacrosse field or goal to film in front of? LOL.

WTH? Why am I being drawn into this now? What are we even arguing about anymore? I feel like Im arguing with my wife & she's bringing up something I did 15 years ago.
 
Say what you want, it isn't Gait's problem today vs Harvard where we can't pass the ball and catch it - what a shame. Looks like we blew our wad in the ACC Championship game!
