I'd comment further, but I don't think the OP can see my posts anywayIt's not for the faint of heart, that's for sure.

Please don't but yes I can, lol.
Excuse me, but didn’t we win yesterday against a very good Princeton team?
No, I’m not just jumping on this bandwagon!Did u skip reading the thread, lol?
My favorite posters are the ones that have bold takes but are perfectly fine self deprecating when things change. Good work J

I just think you were correct. About what you said about Jeremy.Did u skip reading the thread, lol?
And a lot of credit to the players led by their captains, especially Caden Kol, plus Michael Grace. The team really struggled down the stretch and lost three in a row. At times the team has lost focus, made silly turnovers, and have struggled on defense.
Counterpoint is this team has put it together after an excellent ACC Tournament. If anything, the underlying theme is that the team has left some meat on the bone.
Talent has always been there and the last month they have showed what the ceiling is when everything is put together.
These types of threads were only allowed for SU Football. But not anymore.I hope we have all learned that calling for somebody's head before a season has played out is crazy.
Truthfully, I am not enough of a lax junkie to fully understand the nuances of the game, but I do understand W's and L's and that college lacrosse has become a game of parity. Therefore, getting to a national final four is a huge accomplishment, as was winning a conference title. I am with the guy who accomplished those things.
As for Jeremy, he is far and away the best and most knowledgeable poster on the lax board. I am a fan of his, but in the case of this thread he jumped the gun. Leave it at that and enjoy what this team has accomplished already and what this team may still have left to achieve.
I’ve learned they are the most talented squad in the nation. Though there are very good functioning teams that can beat us if we don’t match their competency as playing as a team. They beat two very good teams in Harvard and Princeton that both played amazing. A+ games. Two more! The team really struggled down the stretch and lost three in a row. At times the team has lost focus, made silly turnovers, and have struggled on defense.

All of them. No more overpriced under produced off campus games as wellDo we change this thread to #FireCorrigan?![]()
I'm referring to Kevin Corrigan, Notre Dame coach for ND blowing a 6 goal lead and losing to Penn St. But yes, his relatives the other Corrigans also. All of them. No more overpriced under produced off campus games as well
Best post in this thread IMHO.I hope we have all learned that calling for somebody's head before a season has played out is crazy.

Best post in this thread IMHO.
I agree that you cannot call for the HC's firing before a season is played out. As you mentioned, lacrosse has become a game of parity and getting this far sets any team above the ones that didn't.

I agree with your last paragraph also. Jeremy is the most knowledgeable person on this board with respect to lacrosse. I don't pretend to be close to his encyclopedic, informative mind with regards to lacrosse. But it was nice finally to read something in this thread that was positive about SU lacrosse and Jeremy's reply to the post above.
I believe we've done about as well as we can. If we win next Saturday, I will be surprised but I will not
call the game at this point. I'd love to see us do well despite the off-sides and turnover mistakes. We can't afford them anymore.
I was going to suggest that Jeremy who was very nice two years ago to explain the basics of lacrosse to this neophyte and why Desko had to go. Thank you. I was also going to ask Jeremy to put on his gear and go down to the field and show us what he'd do to lead this team - show them their shortcomings open his mouth and tell players who screw up what they did and sit them igf he feels they need to be sat.
There was a mention about Gary Gait being a figurehead. I think to some extent he is but what a figurehead. He's done it all, he is lacrosse. Perhaps there will be a change in the future but let's see what happens at Gillette first.
Absolutely agree. On paper Syracuse is the better team. Tillman will have to out coach us to win which he has done repeatedly. Gait and company need to get this one. There's several posters on here with good lax backgrounds and I believe a few who have coached or are currently coaching. They are much more qualified to comment on the Xs and Os then I can and can get into the real details on Motion offense, 2 man game, big little game, zone offenses, different sets ie 1-4-1, umbrella, dual creasemen, pick game, dodging from X vs the alley and GLE etc...
I point that out to note I'm not qualified to give on field lessens or correct m any player, lol. I can certainly give my thoughts on what I'm seeing and what potential solutions the answer maybe which in some cases is simply talent.
Regarding my original post I am glad to see it didn't age well but I'm also not going to take it back or say it was wrong as there is a standard and expectation that Syracuse Lax has, that hasn't been upheld for probably a decade. Yes parody is more of a factor now then it was I'm the Gait and Powell areas and even the last runs in 08 and 09 but that hasn't stopped Maryland, ND and until this year UVA from still winning pretty consistently. It also doesn't explain the continued issues with offsides, bad penalties and at times an inability to clear.
It's important that the fanbase demand the program remains at the Highest level ala Kentucky bball and Bama fball. Syracuse is the most successful program in the modern era, we should accept nothing less.
This Staff including Gait and the team have come along way this year and from when Gait took over. It needs to slay the dragon next week and beat Maryland, it's long overdue. Tillman is the best coach in the sport, massive spot for the coaching staff.
