Lose to duke then win the last 4, are we at least in the bubble picture heading into acc tourny????? Sorry i cant help myself

North Carolina
At Wake
At Louisville
Pitt

19-12, 10-8 in acc

Am i crazy? Can we get there?

Right now we have 2 top 50 wins and 2 sub-100 losses (man that BC OT loss is a killer)

In your scenario we pick up a top 30 home win and top 15 road win (our best win on the year)

It would also give us a very good road win to go with an already good neutral win in Tennesee.

I think We’d feel like 1 ACCt win would put us in at that point me

Needless to say, if we beat Duke tomorrow we all of a sudden have a ton of realistic paths to an at large

So I don’t want you to get too excited, but my calculus shows that it’s unlikely that we MISS the tourney

I think we have to win at Duke to make it happen. That’s the marquee win we would truly need. Then beat undermanned UNC and keep things close at Louisville. Obviously we win out and we should be looking at 1-2 acct wins as enough to get in from the bracket minds

I just don't want to be Seth Greenberg saying we won at Duke that should get us in.

Like, let's just run the table and get some ACCT wins and make it easy.

The classic mirage where early season we saw that this team can compete with the elite teams, but lost 3 of 4. Finally gets the job done at the end of the season when it needed it the most and cleaned up their bad loss issue by taking care of Pitt and Wake Forest (even though they are a Q1 game).

What's crazy is, if I'm not mistaken, how our NET didn't even change after yesterday's win.

Correct mentioned that in the other thread - didn’t move at all. SMU dropped a few spots but very little movement for either.

Wat? So we can have another year (or two) of losing? C'mon.

Syracuse has to do A LOT and I mean A LOT for Red to survive this. And if he does it, kudos to him. Is he capable of producing a consistent team next season to actually show reminiscence of what the Syracuse program should be if this run ends up being NC State 2024 style. So yeah I’m rooting for Syracuse and the chaos that could come with it. I don’t think it will happen, but if it does, that’s what College Basketball is all about. From what I’ve read they have the money to pay off the contract and likely the coach they want to target already. I see as fans we are in a win-win situation now. Enjoy the ride.

We'll see if they do. I've seen the reports too but I'm not so sure.

It's not only Duke I doubt we win against, It's also Louisville and NC.

As of mid-February 2026, the University of Louisville Men's Basketball team has an overall record of 19-6, placing them among the top teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. They have been ranked #24 in the nation with a strong 17-6 record as of early February 2026 ESPN.
  • Men's Basketball Record (2025-26): 19-6 (as of mid-Feb 2026).
Let's see how it plays out. Maybe we beat Pitt at home? 16 -15?
