Yikes, Derrick Coleman’s IG

He's not wrong. Infuriates me we allowed 44 to be given to this guy but never can find a way to get it on the back of an existing football player who deserves it.
He’s very wrong. He’s acting like a child. I mean they gave 44 to Wallace two years after Coleman left. And it’s hoops, not football.

Hell, everytime I see #13 on Davis I think of Conrad McCrae. Now there’s a number that we could retire from use because of McNasty’s untimely passing.

But 44? The issue is that we should have been giving it out for the last 25 years. Not that it’s on Lampkin now.

Nobody has the right to be mean spirited. It is the one thing about Jim that I hated. I always felt that it diminished his greatness made him look weak and insecure. The fact that DC doesn't show disappointment about the team losing, rather about his own number is all I need to see. DC is about DC not about SU.

Sports at the pro level are very binary: you win or lose.

These guys are losing a lot.

It’s not mean spirited anymore. It’s business.

On one hand criticize program, coach, administration all day. Avoid players.
On the other hand they are paid mercenaries now subject to scrutiny.

If Lampkin was being lazy, or playing dirty, or disrespecting coaches, or being a cancer in the locker room, I would have no problem with DC or anyone else calling him out.

But he has been none of those things. By all accounts he is trying his best within his body and skill set.

He’s not good and a bad free agent signing

I’m going to critique him like I critiqued Pablo Sandoval on the Sox. He’s out of shape and a mediocre player.

This isn’t amateur sports anymore. We paid for this team. It stinks. The attendance at the dome will tell the story ultimately.

He’s 4th on the team in scoring, 2nd in rebounding and 3rd in assists. He’s been a pretty good big man for us.

Yeah I mean he never beat me up, but he had a class right after mine, and I remember one time I was talking to Jerry Sharpe after the class. Really nice guy from the football team I was friendly with(he was in On Any Given Sunday!). Anyway, out of the corner of my eye I saw Coleman staring at me like I did something, I seriously thought he was going to come up and punch me. I think he was just a nasty guy
Good stuff on Jerry Sharpe. Nice guy.

I don’t hate Eddie but come on.

we paid for him to be a star. Those numbers suck (for the level of player we expected)
Last year, in his 4th year as a college player, he averaged 10.6/7.0/2.2 in 27.8 minutes per game. What exactly were people expecting -- Zach Edey? His production in Year 5 for us is pretty consistent with last year. A little less rebounding, a little more assists.

It's in my top 5. Not just top 5 strange films, but my true favorite top 5.
That’s fair. Probably top 20-25 for me. The Universal Studios in Hollywood takes you on the backlot tour to the street they filmed it on. It was very cool.

I’m asking why we paid for a 10 pts 7 reb center

Maliq was 9.5 and 7 and a better defender

Coleman is calling out one player solely because he’s a child who’s been throwing a tantrum for months because said player is wearing 44. DC is not making some bigger statement about the program. It’s selfish and dumb.

They were expecting more. Physically he’s a mess.
