the plan was ennis for 2 years not 1. We really need that calming influence with a team like this. It is going to be a struggle early and grow kinda season.

...because everyone else's have been? BJ can actually knock down a three now and then. He's one of the few who can, and he's been able to get buckets inside the first two games. Need to try SOMETHING.

Offensive nightmare. Maybe the worst last 3 minutes of a half in years. Terrible ball handling by all the guards. Awful shot selection by just about everyone. And someone might want to tell Cooney that Bird is a great 3 pt shooter and to stay on top of him...because Cooney is lost on D.

Not surprisingly, the team is struggling on both sides of the ball. Pretty much all of the ingredients for a stinker game are in play.
Blown defensive assignments
Not taking care of the ball
Horrific shooting
Complete lack of offensive rebounds

We really need Cooney to get his stuff together. BJ and Buss were jacking up airballs too.
The good news is we have all season to work on improving and it shouldn't be surprising to see this team struggle out of the gate. Many new inexperienced parts and the zone isn't something that newbies learn to play overnight.

We will be fine regardless of the outcome of this game. And I believe we have a 2nd half run in us. We always do.

They can't get here fast enough. About time we recruited some guys who can shoot the ball instead of just good athletes for the zone who can't shoot.

It was a slight adjustment on our proven free throw recruiting technique.
