Who do you watch/listen to for your sports and entertainment? I'm sort of in a rut right now so wondering if there might be something else out there that I'm not aware of.

Right now, when I start my morning, I often watch/listen to Get Up with Mike Greenberg for an hour. I don't really like the show, but options seem limited on tv at least. In the afternoon, during my lunch, I often put on The Herd with Cowherd. He's barely listenable/watchable but has some good guests on at times.

I can't take Stephen A so I don't go to anything that he's a part of. I also don't like the kicker dude who wears tank tops. At dinner, I often watch/listen to First Things First (that I recorded earlier in the day). That's the one program that I actually like. When driving around town, I often listen to Lebatard with Stugotz which I also really like, but it doesn't offer intelligent sports discussion. Any recommendations for something else earlier in the day? By the way, I hate baseball and have zero interest in hockey.

One Shining Podcast (college hoops) - CBS's Eye On College Basketball is good too but IMO Matt Norlander takes himself too seriously and projects a "please like my sport" vibe that grates. Maybe I've just been listening too long but OSP is more self-deprecating and fun and they have a nice stable of guests.

The Poscast With Joe Posnanski and Michael Schur - Comes out weekly-ish and discusses whatever's been in the news, but it’s baseball-heavy during the season, so maybe just skip those unless they do some NBA episodes which I’m sure they’ll do because Joe is a Cleveland guy and Schur grew up rooting for Boston teams. It's also pretty light.

Entertainment - The Rewatchables, Unspooled (movies), One Song, Hit Parade, Switched On Pop (music).

The only thing I listen to with regularity anymore is WGR550 out of Buffalo during Bills season. Pretty much at least half the morning show every day and about an hour of the afternoon show.

When I was younger I couldn't get enough, I would rewatch shows like sportscenter, make a point to see PTI and such, listen to national shows when driving.

Now days I don't even watch pregame shows anymore. Whether it's because sports media has become so oversatturated and shoved down your throat or because the teams/sports I am passionate about have severly shrunk; I am not sure.

There just seems to be so much more content these days with so much less to actually say, other than the H0T Takes where people yell at you what you should think, no thanks.

I like Mike Francesa's BetMGM Rivers podcast. It's not gambling talk, it's him pontificating on sports like he used to do on WFAN. It's the old Mike except he's not on the air for 5 hours, 5 days a week.I get his notifications and he'll go immediately after something big was going on or happening.

I'm another WGR/Buffalo fan which probably doesn't help you. Just try a bunch of podcasts depending on what you like. IDK if good national shows that don't involve betting or fantasy really exist tbh. The Ringer has a little something for everyone; though Russillo who I used to really like seems to have mailed it in the last couple years. Mina Kimes is alright on the NFL.

I watched First Take today for the first time maybe ever today for some reason. Was a little surprised how not-so hot take-ish it was. But can't say I'll be tuning in again. Lengthy empty calorie segment about "Hey good for the Bengals paying guys but their defense needs to stop giving up 40." Umm ok any thoughts on how they go about doing that or how likely that is (not really, ok thanks)?

I love Lebatard and Stugotz. But if you want more specific sports conversations it may not be the place.
