Both are capable. Ross for sure.Who do we have who can burn teams deep and stretch their defense? I'm thinking Gill or maybe Ross.

Yeah, sometimes people need a moment. Can't it be just that? If it's a few weeks or a bit more, give the young man some time to work things out. That's what Fran is doing, and that's why he'll be back. Footballs means nothing in the grand scheme.
Malachi James?
Agree, I think there are some good options that will pan out better than trying to convert a true freshman running back.Hornsby

Totally agree….thats why I said I agreed.Hornsby's got range.
He's a WR.
How’d he get here?: Jaylan de-committed from Texas A&M and flipped to the Orange after the hiring of Fran Brown. Another highly-touted NJ prospect, Hornsby received additional offers from Georgia, Penn State and Notre Dame.

I misconstrued, but my larger point is that we have seemingly quality depth that I hope can rise to the occasion. Gill, Hatcher, Ross.Totally agree….thats why I said I agreed.
He seems like a smart kid, I think he can figure out how to run a go routeSo far he's only played on the kickoff team.
Maybe they can they teach him a few routes in a week.
He's more of a running back than a wide receiver.Malachi James?
I don't think anyone is disputing if they are "capable". It's more about McCord trusting he can go to them. That sort of thing usually develops through practice reps. The first game without Zeed was vs Stanford and it took McCord awhile to realize he could trust Meeks. Both are capable. Ross for sure.
I'm sorry but it is. I've had a lot of family emergencies happen and not once did I run to delete all social media. I hope I am wrong though. But this feels like strange.
Such a strong take it didn’t need the sarcasm font. Well done. But, as fans, we deserve to know all the players’ personal matters!!!
I am sure you have lots of people you never met trolling social media to learn about your life. Bad take.I'm sorry but it is. I've had a lot of family emergencies happen and not once did I run to delete all social media. I hope I am wrong though. But this feels like strange.
good post. Pena is a huge loss. He has spent countless hours with Kyle. You can't replace that regardless of talent. He is in my opinion our most important O player after KyleI don't think anyone is disputing if they are "capable". It's more about McCord trusting he can go to them. To be successful we have to move the chains and score TDs. That requires some newcomer making a huge impact. It's asking a lot. But we've suffered a lot and paid our dues, dammit.

Thank you Chip. I meant to make this post, but occasionally work distracts me from my duties on syracusefan.com. I don't think many of us have to worry about random fans getting all in our business in our DMs etc on social media. This is not a good post. We have a god knows how many posts about him on this site, his name comes up in podcasts, interviews, he plays football on national TV for a power program.
His social media doesn't compare to yours.
If he never plays here again, please don't post an "I was right". I think we all realize this is a possibility.
I think this would be more likely if we had Nixon available still. We also need receiving production out of the backfield.Probably see Allen in the slot and then you could go 2 TEs and motion Villari in the backfield
Allen may have some of the best hands on the team and it’s someone McCord trusts
There doesn’t have to be. I also have a hard time believing this kid played 4 years of high school ball and never learned how to play the position. There’s more to it than that.
Pretty sure he missed a year of high school football. There doesn’t have to be. I also have a hard time believing this kid played 4 years of high school ball and never learned how to play the position.
