agree on the fans being insane, however, there are ways an AD can work the PR mill to try and get around what happened with Schiano. Currie did a very poor job of that, and cost the university money and obviously some valuable branding. Tennessee should be seen as a top 5 SEC job, and yet, here they are on choice 5, while MSU has their coach already in place. Every coach that openly turns them down, makes it harder to find someone new. Their fans are nuts for sure, and I would have loved to see Schiano tank there, but the AD also screwed this up huge.

Nebraska was much worse after he left, so clearly he was doing something right while he was there.

Yeah despite their best efforts, I totally agree that Leach is a great hire. Obviously a little eccentric, but he's won everyone he has been.
