They're really squaring up everything on him now.Reddick single handedly saved that inning for the Stros.
They're starting to get to Verlander though.
Joe DiMaggio struck out 369 times in his career during the regular season. Aaron Judge has struck out 250 times during the regular season in a little over one season. So yes, the game has changed. Striking out 100 times in a season used to be a rarity; now almost everyone who plays regularly does.
Yet they're still playing, so there's that.Again... Thank you.
People strike out more. What the yanks hitters are doing this postseason is beyond "more".

Interference on Correa?
Bad fumble by Sanchez.
Definitely a liability at the plate. Even with the weak throw from DiDi, Altuve was out by 2 feet.Bad fumble by Sanchez.
At least he blocked it.
Finally took Keith Hernandez to state the obvious - Judge missed the cutoff man on that last play. If he hits Castro then Altuve should be out by ten feet.
Didi spiked the throw trying to get around the runner who popped up directly in front of him. Not exactly a routine play, but yeah, Sanchez could have made it.Bad fumble by Sanchez.
Ya he missed the cutoff guy, he was still out by 15 feet, Sanchez is brutal behind the plate.
I've said for years that the Yankees are not the most fundamentally sound team out there. Bites you in the butt in close games like this.No doubt Sanchez should have made that play. But it was a rushed throw from a guy who never should have had to make that throw to begin with.

He's still just 24 and come a long way as a catcher. A few years ago, many in the organization did not believe he would make the majors as a catcher. He does have trouble blocking pitches in the dirt but calls a decent game and has a gun that few try to run on. His catcher's ERA was among the best in baseball this season. And it goes without saying that his kind of offensive production from behind the plate is rare, so you keep him there as long as you can.Oh well, we're still absorbing some learning curve ...
