2017 Yankees Thread

Judge is currently Triple Crown leader as a rookie. Amazing

I finally realized who Judge reminds me of. Shoeless Joe from Hannibal Mo. I just hope there isn't a Lola out there somewhere.

Mantle supposedly hit one 565 feet though who knows how good their estimates were back then. He also hit a couple off the very top of the facade in the old park. That's sick.

Haven't looked at what others did today but that aside, Judge is currently your Triple Crown winner.

I think we've outscored the Red Sux and O's 55-9 over the past 5 games

not too shabby

Along with Sanchez, a cornerstone for the next dynasty
I hope the front office doesn't get greedy and dump the other good long term prospects to make short term improvements. They have the chance to be really good for a really long time. Let the youth and enthusiasm carry the day this season.

If Bird or Austin are anything at first, Torrez can play 3rd for the next 2-3 years and either of the OF Fs turn into anything, this is a scary talented and very cost controlled lineup for the next 5+ years

add 3 more front line pitchers (develop at least 1 over the next 2 years from Kap. Justice, Chance, etc. and buy 1 or 2) and this team is in hard core contention year in and year out

An embarrassment of riches, to be certain. They might eventually need to package one of the hitters for a starting pitcher, but for right now, I'd play wait and see. And of course this run won't last forever, but it's sure some fun while it's happening. :)

And he'll overtake OBP and SLG after tomorrow's game I think as Trout will no longer have 3.1 plate appearances per team game.

With Hicks playing the way he is and Frazier in the minors id definetly trade Ellsbury for a 1B prospect and maybe another pitcher

Oh sure, trade the vets. Keep the kiddos.

How much would the Yankees need to eat you think? 13 a year?
It's not worth discussing at this point. Gardner is the outfielder that is tradable (assuming you don't want to part with Judge or Hicks). Ellsbury might end up being a highly-paid fourth outfielder.

$26M.

$21M for the salary, and $5M payoff for someone to take him. Aging, injury history, and now concussion issues.
