2017 Yankees Thread

I am not a Headley-hater like seemingly everyone else, but there were at least four better options in last night's lineup.
I like him, but I like him at 6 or 7 better for sure.

yesterday, I got it.

needed Didi at the 5 for his power and then its either Headley...or Austin, Torreyes, Romine or Ref...no thank you.

ride the vet hot bat at the 2.

not sure of new DL rules, can they back date?

if so, put him on, start it the 25th and give him the week.

His last game was the 24th.

10 days would have him back on the 5th.

isn't that what I said??

Clippard looked ok last night AFO.

that was a tough spot, maybe a turning point too.

Girardi put NO ONE up in the pen.

that was HIS inning, he got out of it.

big show of support by the skip there.

Betances, CANNOT pitch 3 days in a row, no matter how light the load was prior.

You're probably right. I seem to recall we saw a similar meltdown late last year, although I don't remember the details. :noidea:

you are right.

that's what im basing it on.

he has proven time and time again over the years, that he cant go a 3rd day.

no matter what the pitch count was.

its time to just accept that.

Anymore, three days in a row of just about anything seems to lose its luster - golf, drinking beer, lying on the beach ...

Assuming that Green, Shreve, and Chapman were unavailable...

He had Ty Webb, and Danny Noonan left in the pen last night. :noidea:

I hate to think how things would have played out if we had extras.

Judge is currently the team's best hitter. He should bat second.

no, no, no.

Babe, Lou, Joe and the Mick didn't hit 2nd.

and neither should Judge.

3rd is fine, hes still a guarantee up in the 1st inning.

That's dinosaur talk.
maybe.

to me, the big HR and RBI guys always hit 3-5...and with his OBP 3.

where does Trout hit??

the Yanks just got spanked around by them for a couple of weeks straight, but he was out for all of it.

Yankees PR Dept.
ROSTER MOVES: The Yankees placed DH Matt Holliday on the 10-day D.L. (retroactive to 6/25) with a viral infection and recalled INF Miguel Andujar from Triple-A @swbrailriders. 1B Chris Carter has accepted his outright assignment to Scranton/WB.

My understanding is that after being designated for assignment, clearing waivers, and being outrighted to the minors, he is not on the 40 man roster.
Corrrct. Same with Tommy Lane.
