Bird originally went on the DL May 2. Transferring him to the 60 means he couldn't play until next week.

Which shouldn't be a problem.

and even if there is some provision that once placed on it, he must be 'on it' for 2 weeks or something, that shouldn't be a problem either.

Sanchez rightfully caught an earful from Girardi when he didn't block that pitch, makes up for it by not running AT ALL out of the box as he hits into a DP.

Sanchez has crazy talent and is a great power hitter but he has gotta be the laziest catcher Ive ever seen this side of Mike Engelberg.

I get that, but why didn't they just call up Fowler yesterday rather than make Andujar come up for one day. Just for the pitching matchup yesterday ? I don't know.
