2017 Yankees Thread

My understanding is that after being designated for assignment, clearing waivers, and being outrighted to the minors, he is not on the 40 man roster.

He's off the 40. Andujar took his spot.

Sanchez rightfully caught an earful from Girardi when he didn't block that pitch, makes up for it by not running AT ALL out of the box as he hits into a DP.

Somebody is sitting in the front of the plane tonight...

Miguel Andújar has set a Yankees record with 4RBI in his Major League debut (previously 3RBI, Marv Throneberry-1955 and Billy Martin-1950).

Six solid, I assume, from MT tonight? How did Romine look at 1B?

Yankees manager Joe Girardi and Gary Sanchez said they were on the same page as far as Sanchez' trouble blocking pitches and his failure to run hard to first base. Girardi said he was not lecturing Sanchez, telling him in the dugout that he shouldn't get down over his three hard outs and advising the catcher on how to block balls better. Girardi also said that Sanchez was told not to run hard to first to protect a tweaked groin. At one point, Girardi told Sanchez to smile.

yeah, I saw the post game where he said that.

im glad that was the case.

I also didn't know we had another tilt in the windy city...so no plane ride anyway. :noidea:

pretty sure they are at 40.

somebody is getting DFA'd or 60'd...

on the edit: Torreyes to 60 is the bet.

Torreyes? When did he get hurt?

I'd guess Austin to the 10, and Bird to the 60.

The AAA Express has been working overtime the last few weeks...
reminds me of the good ole days of when guys were 'shipped out to the Clippers' and Steve Balboni got the nickname from Nettles 'Bye Bye', which wasn't for his Home Run prowess...
