Has the ball reentered the atmosphere yet?
Disintegrated upon re-entry, I believe.

Already 25 years old
AA level kid.
Should probably wait a year and a half and go after Harper. Won't cost them prospects and he's a better overall hitter imo. Added bonus he bats from the left side.

The Marlins even with that contract aren't giving away Stanton for nothing.Stanton's contract is so big that the Yankees might not have to give up anything of value.

DuhHarper and Stanton are not even in the same stratosphere in terms of overall player value. Harper >>>>>>>Stanton
You think the Red Sox would do that?If he was available for little the Red Sox could give the Marlins Andrew Benintendi and assume the contract.
If all it took was Benintendi and money I would bet they would. The Marlins aren't going to give him away IMO.You think the Red Sox would do that?
Latroy Hopkins had it and people lost their minds, so he switched. Is Paul O'Neil's #21 going to get retired?
I get he is a fan favorite and dirt dog but it's been 16 years the team can reissue #21. I get he was a Warrior but it surprises the number hasn't been reissued unless it's going to be retired.

The Red Sox are not a frugal organization, but committing $295 million (that includes the $10 million buyout in 2028, but not whatever he is owed for the rest of this year) plus a prospect, feels pretty reckless for any team. Stanton has only played two complete seasons in his career and he isn't even the Marlins' best outfielder this year.If all it took was Benintendi and money I would bet they would. You realize the Red Sox stupidly gave David Price 215 million. Trust me they're stupid enough to take the Stanton contract I don't want them to.The Red Sox are not a frugal organization, but committing $295 million (that includes the $10 million buyout in 2028, but not whatever he is owed for the rest of this year) plus a prospect, feels pretty reckless for any team.
