My point was all about last nights game exclusively. Bullpens should keep leads. Last Friday the Red Sox did the same thing the Yankees did last night that is baseball.

When you leave 13 guys on base you asking for trouble.

The Yankees were one hit away 3 times for breaking that game wide open.

Honestly you guys are overachieving and going to make the playoffs.
Being the wildcard if you win that game is actually not a bad thing.
Houston has been bad the 2nd half and ripe for an upset.

I think Cleveland and Boston have better pitching staffs than Houston.
Pitching wins in the playoffs.
Kuechel has been mediocre.
McCullers can't stay healthy.
The rest of their staff is average.

The Red Sox are only 4 games back in the loss column to the Astros. It isn't out of the question that they could catch the Astros. Not saying they will, but that is still in play.

Getting way of ahead of myself here, but Sevy pitches the WC.

Then I'd go

Tanaka

Then in a perfect world Sevy wins series in Game 4 and we can bring him back in game 3 of the ALCS pushing Tanaka to game 4.

At rate the Yankees are handing them games, they will catch them for sure...
 
Got a good feeling about Didi... he's been swinging the bat great since the break.
 
Time to give judge a few games off, hes a disaster right now.

Judge in a serious funk. He's behind on 92 mph fastballs. Another guy left in scoring position.

I would have gardner, hicks, and then didi in the 3 hole. Move judge to 4th or 5th for a bit.
 
Judge is a huge dude playing an insanely long season. Wouldn't surprise me if he's just hit a wall.

If you changed managers between the Red Sox and the Yanks, the sox would be up a min with Giardi. You have no idea how good you have it. I posted this the other day, In the 2013 world series, Farrell pinch ran middlebrooks for Xander in one game and pinch ran Xander for Middlebrooks in another. Not to mention messing up his lineup so that a pitcher actually had to hit late in the game. He didn't know a basic rule last weekend in NYC. Giardi is a damn good manager.
