The biggest change is J.D.The biggest change from last year is the Yankees downgraded big time as manager from Girardi to Boone while the Sox actually got a guy with a pulse and upgraded from Farrell to Cora.
Didn’t the Yankees add the NL MVP though? The biggest change is J.D.
yep. J.D Martinez changed the entire line upDidn’t the Yankees add the NL MVP though?
He changed the lineup but the team underachieved in the regular season last year.yep. J.D Martinez changed the entire line up
The biggest change is J.D.
Yankees got last years NL MVP...you got THIS years AL MVP.The biggest change is J.D.
If you don't know what Voit and Robinson bring to a team, you haven't been paying attention to baseball for very long.Yankees got last years NL MVP...you got THIS years AL MVP.
I don’t think Boone is an issue, but no Girardi has made a lazy fat Sanchez...lazier and fatter.
If you want to attribute that to Boone’s demeanor, well I guess...although I’d say that’s on Cash.
But more precisely...it’s on Sanchez.
Yanks just made a ton of moves at the trade deadline and other than Britton, we got to see Voit and Robinson???
Cash!!! My man!!!

Enlighten me.If you don't know what Voit and Robinson bring to a team, you haven't been paying attention to baseball for very long.
It was a jokeEnlighten me.
I don’t watch the minors on a regular basis, so yes, I don’t know what they bring.
Coffee and donuts??
A bagel or 2 by Robinson since he has a more than a few cups of coffee in the bigs??
All I know is...couple of 4A players just got serious run in a Penant race, in Fenway.
That’s not exactly signing and playing David Justice.
No it wasn’t.It was a joke
Exit V loNo it wasn’t.
You were about to teach me about basepath speed, hustle and good gloves.
But, since you have a broom in your hand, I will take a glorious bow...and show myself out.
For a bit.
Oh I agree, this rivalry renewal is just getting started. One thing I am getting sick of is this mantra that i hear on Boston radio and tv and now am hearing on New York radio that the Red Sox have this short window to win. First things first, the Red Sox have a lot of young players. Beni and Devers. Betts and Boqie are actually younger than judge and sanchez. Secondly, when those guys contracts are up in a few years, it's not like the Red Sox will suddenly have the payroll of the K.C. Royals. The Sox are going to be around for a while.
Boston radio won’t even let the fans enjoy the sweep.Oh I agree, this rivalry renewal is just getting started.
It’s not being said on the FAN, but I can’t speak for ESPN radio.
Neither is going away for a quite a bit.
Hanley and Sandoval money comes off the books this offseason. One thing I am getting sick of is this mantra that i hear on Boston radio and tv and now am hearing on New York radio that the Red Sox have this short window to win. It’s non stop about the Red Sox bullpen sucking and the regular season means nothing.
Our bullpen does seem to suck all at the same time one week and are lights out the next. It's annoying. I don't like Hembree. Or Kelly.
No one trusts their bullpen in the playoffs.I don't trust that bullpen in the playoffs.
Let me be clear, that will be a non starter with Price. I am with you 100% but when you are paying a guy 30 million a year, I think he gets a start. I was half hoping the yanks would light him up so that it would be a easier sell.Houston won last year with a garbage bullpen.
Kimbrel is better than anything Houston had in the bullpen last year.
The Sox will manage the bullpen in the postseason with no margin for error.
Pomerantz will hopefully pickup some velocity he has lost this year and develop into a guy they can use in the bullpen.
If I were Cora I would be working Price right now about in September transitioning into a bullpen guy.
He was filthy last year in the end of the season and was the Sox best postseason pitcher last year.
Use Price as the guy who gets you to Kimbrel. He was throwing mid to high 90s in this role because he knew he was maxing out as he was a reliever.
Plus it takes pressure off Price not having to start.
The postseason rotation should be if healthy
Sale-Porcello-Rodriguez-Eovaldi.
Bullpen: Kimbrel-closer
Price, Barnes, Thornburg setup guys
Kelly- one batter RH when you need a strikeout.
Pomerantz- one batter LH specialist.
Hembree, Brazier the guys when the game isn’t close.
Johnson-long guy if they even put him on the roster.
