2020 MLB Season...

I can’t believe they actually interview these outfielders in the middle of the game now. Why would anyone agree to that? Pitch is about to be thrown and you’ve got the ESPN commentator talking in your ear?

Im all for baseball trying to engage viewers, and as a viewer I like it.

But as a guy who grew up playing baseball...no way would I want that as a player.

The ratings for these games have been brutal.

Under 1 million viewers watched the Twins-Astros and Rays-Blue Jays.

Cubs and Yankees games were the only 2 that got over 2.5 million.

Baseball is trying anything to get viewers but I agree in game interviews do nothing for me.

Baseball really blew it by not getting the season started months earlier.

Did they really have a player mic'd up MID GAME IN THE OUTFIELD??!?!?

That really just happened??? What idiot thought that would be a good idea?

Dude is in an elimination game concentrating and commentators are talking to him.

Interesting news how the NLCS and World Series will have some fans in the stands in Texas.

I guess I’m confused by some of this though.

Why is playing at a neutral site safer than just playing at their own stadiums the way they have all season?

And will those seats move? If it’s, say, Dodgers-Braves...are they going to sell 11,000 seats or whatever in Texas? Why would those Texans care enough to pay those prices?

This whole thing is so bizarre, lol.

Other than msorange who's watching Braves reds at noon? Blue Jays Rays don't have many fans. The best game of the playoffs thus far was the Yankee game that ended at past 1 am.

Hopefully my Braves can put it away today. We have 2 starting pitchers I trust - Max Fried and Ian Anderson. Really don't want to have to go to game 3.
Huge game by Ian Anderson of Clifton Park. The kid is the real deal. What a great start to his career he has had. I think 7 games and an ERA under 2.00. Everyone remember his name.

Maybe have the two teams with national fanbases playing when the whole country can watch would work? Put the Yankees on at 4 and the Dodgers at 7. There’s no fans allowed at the games anyway, so put one of those teams nobody will watch anyway on at 10?

I went to bed at freakin 1 AM last night and the Dodger game was only in the 7th inning. I won’t last nearly that long tonight. Probably will be in bed by 11.

The Yankee game was a classic and very few people got go see it I was done at 1130 listened on the radio going to bed. Woke up at 145 to go to the bathroom and the post game show was still on lol.

So the Cards-Pads play at 5...and there’s not another game until 10? Why? They can’t adjust that, after a series ends? Move that Dodger game up to 8:00? No NBA game tonight. Just a horrible NFL matchup of 0-3 teams to compete with.

They’re going to have at least an hour of dead air at THE prime time where people would be likely to be watching, around 9 PM. That sucks.

DId not realize where Ian was from. He's saved the Braves season. He and Max Fried have been their only dependable starters after Soroka got hurt.

Imagine leaving a rookie pitcher in long enough to walk in 2 straight runs in an elimination game.

nevermind...the app I was looking at was either wrong or not updated. Cards-Pads is at 7. That makes more sense.

can you really blame MLB for the two rain delays ?

I want the chi Sox over Oakland .. year over year nobody puts out more boring but quality teams than Oakland
Agreed. Those early 00’s, Tejada, Giambi, Zito, Hudson, Mulder teams were fun. But since then, they’ve been pretty boring.

They wasted 45 minutes on a "non-rain" delay and played only 16 minutes before it actually started to rain.

They could have started the game on time and played for an hour before the tarp really had to come out.

I haven't commented since my Yankees advanced. But I told you so. Has me feeling

The Indians aren't that good most people had the Yankees winning this series. Not sure what you told anyone.
