2020 MLB Season...

Baseball...still my favorite sport.
I have been off baseball for awhile. In large part, I imagine, because I am a lifelong Orioles fan, but also pace of game and it's evolution to strikeouts or home runs.
That said, we were in Cooperstown and just popped into the lobby. (The husband of the couple we were with works with former ML P Ricky Wright, who is in some HOF exhibit that he wanted to check on.). All of the love I had for the game, and it's history, rushed back. I was able to identify Larry Doby and Satchel Paige in the same photo, because they were in Cleveland uniforms. I picked out Josh Gibon. There is are 3 status in the lobby, Gehrig, Robinson and Clemente. I recalled the way Clemente ran, and vividly recall the news discussing his plane crashing on a humanitarian mission, back before athletes organized the press for such things.
I relived my (modest, but for me, indelible, baseball exploits), and I realized I still love the game, despite it's problems, and because of its uniqueness, complexity and history.

I went to the HOF for the first time as an adult 6-7 years ago and it was just a whole different experience. Amazing place. I understand exactly where you’re coming from.

Baseball will always be a true love for me. While i have participated in some wheelchair sports, I've never played baseball, football etc. But it's always been the one sport I could truly understand the strategy without being able to play it.

But you are right, pace of play and so many home run or strikeout hitters has made it a bit less enjoyable for me.

Rays relief pitching is what gives them a chance to beat LA.

Kershaw can basically clinch WS MVP if LA wins this series if he shuts down Tampa tonight.

Baez and Jensen have been Scott Proctor’d by the LA organization. Yankee fans will get that reference:

In earlier years it was Tom Gordon. The Yankees created the Joba rules to prevent Torre from going all Mice and Men on his new toy.

you think you are the only one who watched it in game speed? muncy didn't go past the base . . . until he was pulled off of it

yes, adames has the right to protect himself, but once he pulls muncy with him, the play is dead

bad call, no doubt
As someone who umped alot of ball, I would have called him out

i'm not impressed by your appeal to pseudo-authority

and, like carlson, you would have been egregiously wrong

SMH. Another horrific slide. Friggin calm down and let your hitters hit and stop being stupid.

For the good of baseball Dodgers need to win. Dodgers in 6.

Muncy pimped the chit out of that HR.
I got no problem with it because old school baseball rules are stupid.

Watching it. Bat flips. Slow out of the box and around the bases...I’m good with all of that.

Could do without the patty cake routines some of these guys do with their hands though. I miss the days of emotionless fist bumps and looks of intimidating indifference.

Guy's a career 236 hitter. He should just be happy.
