Holding a close lead late in a baseball playoff game, or holding a 1 goal lead late in a hockey playoff game...not sure which is more nerve wracking as a fan.

it's why playoff baseball is so great. every friggin pitch is critical.

i'm watching with my son . . . someone throws a first pitch ball and he's yelling "*#*!" i have to be stern about the language but inside i'm laughing.

i'm a mets fan but i can't pretend i'm 100% neutral. my boy is a dodgers fan and i'd love to see him finally get a win

The guy is a stud and had bad luck in the postseason.

Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, HOFers struggled in the postseason as well and didn’t get the level of chit Kershaw got. Those guys only each won 1 WS as well.

How does a GM simply outspending his mistakes more have more integrity than a GM trying to position his team to have lots of good young players under control for 5-6 years so his team can compete, at least for a while.
Historically, when the playing field for GM's was level, in that teams had to rely on the draft, not money, (1961- the Messerschmidt decision), the Yankees stunk. That's why George was able to buy them so cheap. They stunk, and no one went to the games.
Free agency starts up, and the Yankees become relevant again.

We’ll have a well rested Buehler if there’s a game 7, with Urias on 3 days rest. Urias is comfortable coming out of the pen and has been great all playoffs(and last year too). I would hope we don’t need Kershaw on 2 days rest for that one.
