2021-22 Yankees Off Season / Spring Training ...

Not nothing. They got a potential rotation starter, or at worse, probably a very serviceable bullpen arm.

Voit wasn't exactly a big trade target. He's got a decent bat even for 1B and DH, but his defense is subpar, he's on the wrong side of 30, injury prone, and he's already getting $5m+ a year.
Still, this kid is at least a couple years away. Voit's bat might have been valuable this season when the inevitable injuries occur. I won't be surprised if they go out and get some high priced veteran when that occurs.

Cashman admits reason Yankees didn't strongly pursue Freeman was ... money. Couldn't afford his contract. Good grief. This is infuriating for Yankees fans.

A new report says the Yankees were "impressed" with Freeman, but Cashman said the team didn't have space in the budget for the former MVP.

Very happy the Yankees were able to help the twins sign Correa by taking Donaldson’s salary off their hands.
Cashman has lost his fastball it appears.
Gets outplayed on Correa and shuns Freeman. Passes on 2 difference makers.

No, he was there last season. Makes Higgy look like Johnny Bench.

Who's Brantly?

Did you just make a player up?
How about just pull the damn trigger and bring up Wells. It’s not like Rortvedt was going to bring in much more experience or be able to manage the pitching staff any better anyway. Wells is also a lefty batter so use him in tandem with Higgy.

I believe Rortvedt is supposed to be an excellent pitch-framer.

Sure, we're just making up players now anyway, let's go with Wells.

Let's trade for Walton Richmond while we're at it.

No Wells is a real person. 22years old. Drafted in the 1st round of the 2020 draft (#28 overall). Number 6 prospect in the Yankee organization. Probably needs more seasoning. Expect to see him in 2027 when he’s 27 years old. The 24 year old Rortvedt with his 89 ml at bats is definitely the more seasoned of the 2 so let’s hang our hat on him when he gets off the DL in June.

Like every other prospect in the Yankee organization. They’re all supposed to be ____ (fill in the blank).

Unlike other skills, pitch-framing in the minor leagues translates to the majors.
