2021 Fall Camp Starts Friday August 6th

Team needs to win games. FWIW my usual social feeds seem to have a fair chunk of Cuse football stuff in it.

UVa and VT might be out of The Washington Post's range, but they have nothing it seems on Maryland as well.

Yep, you're just not going to get much traffic trying to excite the fanbase after a 1 win season. People have short memories.

Beat Ohio, then hopefully we get a 'let's get out of the house and do something' crowd for Rutgers, win that. Steamroll Albany.

Then you have a Friday night game against what should likely be a ranked Liberty team. On name alone, it excites no one. But a ranking could help promote it, and being on a Friday night means you could get a more active crowd as well as some national attention.

And if you win that game and they are ranked and we are 4-0 you’re staring at a likely ranked Syracuse football team

4-0 with wins over Ohio, Albany, Rutgers and Liberty will not lead to a Top 25 ranking.

But who cares - we'd only need 2 more Ws for a bowl game which is a MUST in Year 6!

Agree, we wouldn't be ranked. But I'd bet we sneak into the others receiving votes category, which is the crawl before the walk/run.

And then we just have to make sure we don't completely fall apart in ACC play. We've seen editions of Syracuse football that take a turn for the worse, quickly.

But first things first. Beat Ohio.

Seems a lot more upbeat. I'm glad that he's finally attempting to develop 3rd-4th stringers. Super frustrating when we found out that our 3rd/4th string QB had almost no reps when we needed them to step in last year. Also, he must be super high on the incoming freshman o-line, usually you get coach speak and he downplays the young guys... not so much with this group. Also, Dino's got a weird shaped head.

how on earth do you know it didn't do squat for sales or creating buzz?
he Had three seasons of open spring practices and there wasn’t an appreciable increase in ticket sales or donations. He locked down spring of 12. There is a duplicate of this thread you can find from that time.

Two things, it didn’t hurt sales and the team was better.

the starters didn’t have enough reps.

I love the picture of the RB coming through the hole; great body angle and tremendous knee lift. That will not be any fun to tackle.
I like those knee braces the most

My thought would also be the time media is allowed to film practice. If they allow it from 9:50 until 10 am, and practice starts at 9:30, my thought is we'd be seeing the same video over and over (warm ups, dynamic stretching, basic videos to get players loose rather than actual on-field schemes).
I know that this has been mentioned before, but AGAIN today the questions being asked during Dino’s presser were INAUDIBLE.

Can anyone with communications experience explain why a long-handled mic can’t be passed to/ held in front of each reporter?

Rumor has it that SU’s School of Communications is not bad.
