Yeah, and there’s like...no muscle memory that would’ve led to what he did. I’ve never in my life seen a first baseman chase a base runner back to home. You don’t have run downs there.
Mind boggling.
Solid form tackle by the first baseman. That play reminds me of the one in AAA where a guy got drilled and immediately karate kicked the catcher so he could have free access on his way out to the pitcher.

Instead of using one’s closer in the 9th inning of a tie game, does it make sense to save him for extra innings when strikeouts are vital?
