Again he loves doing Mets games. Perhaps he doesn't want to give up doing Mets games to do national games. I don't buy the fact he hasn't been offered national jobs.

I don't listen to Gary do a lot of college bball I'm too wrapped up in our team. He doesn't do national games during the regular season so why would they bring him in for the playoffs?
Well, if he was just the best, they would want the best when they have a large national audience. you said, or at least i thought you said, that Gary did national games on the radio during the playoffs. That would indicate that he would be open to doing games in the post season if he was asked.
the point is that all we know for sure is that he isn't doing national games. It would be odd that someone in that profession would turn down doing national games. It would mean more money. Can you name me another guy that has turned down working national games?
Maybe he just is content doing what he's doing. Im not his agent so I don't know for sure what offers he's had but I can't imagine someone didn't make a run at him. Matt vasgerzian sp.is espns number one guy. Are you telling me he's better than Gary Cohen?
Or he just wants something to do in between the Mets season and the start of Seton Hall bball. Fox or tbs isn't going to bring in someone for the playoffs who hasn't worked for them in the regular season.
Matt is and has been a national guy. He is a lot better known than Gary. I am not a big fan of Matt's but he has paid his dues. You like your guy and that is great. Be glad that you do. you could have S. Waldman.

Been with you most of the way on this thread until here. I'm not a big MV guy. I like Cohen better than him. Maybe that is because MV has to team up with ARod who is hideous imo. But as you said, purely a matter of taste.

Omg 129 pitches. You do realize the all star break is coming up and he will have extra rest before his next start?
The problem is that he isn't accustomed to throwing 129 pitches. But with the all star break and their place in the standings, I would have kept him in as well. It will be interesting to see what day the yanks use him for against the Red Sox. If I were them, I would pitch in on Sunday. Gives him the most rest while allowing him to pitch in both series.

As a Braves fan, this totally sucks. We've been hit with some injuries this year wtih Acuna, D'arnaud, and Soroka and Ozuna getting injured and being a jerk.
But I also have Acuna on my fantasy team. Me looking at the waiver wire trying to figure out who to pick up to replace him
