2021 MLB Season

You do realize the Jays finishing 3 4th in the division is why they were able to get those great bats. The Yankees winning as much don't have a chance to draft those type of players.
The yanks spend 200 million on their team a year. That allows them to get all kinds of players. Like D.J., Like Cole. You aren't actually claiming that the Yanks are at a disadvantage when it comes to getting good hitters or pitchers are you?

Me commenting on the Jays sticks had nothing to do with the Yankees. No need to be so defensive. Just celebrate the game a bit tonight, you know?

Yes. If not for the draft we could have just signed Jack Leiter for example, or other top highly drafted prospects throughout baseball.

Starting to look like they’ll draft in a more favorable position next year.

Bo Bichette- 2nd round pick.
Vlad Jr. International FA
Cavan Biggio- 5th round pick
Teoscar Hernández was traded to Toronto from Houston.
Marcus Siemen was a FA signing.

Sorry you don’t realize none of their young core were top first round picks that the Yankees couldn’t have drafted or signed.

Funny fella you r. I'm funny guy myself. How is that Trevor Bauer signing working out ?
Guess we’ll just have to get by with the guys that won us a World Series last year, along with that old Jays mercenary David Price. The horror.

That is why they are in first place and running away with the division. Oh wait.

BTW if Ohtani is so great this legendary 2 way player then why are the ANGELS only 1 game over 500.

You realize it takes more than 1 player to win?

As usual you are wrong.
Vald Jr was a international free agent. Anyone could have signed him. Anyone. No draft involved
Teoscar Hernandez was aquired in a trade. the Jays gave up Francisco Liariano to get him. Not much
Randel Grichuk the jays got from St louis in a trade. They gave up Connor greene and Dominic Leone. other words, not much.
Cavan Biggio went to the jays in the 5th round of the draft. The yanks could have picked him
Bo Bichette went to the Jays in the second round, the Yanks could have drafted him. They didn't.

Rat bastard. I just wrote the same exact thing.

He's a clown. Glad the Yankees didn't sign him.

You really aren't busting anyone for bad free agent signings are you?

Yes. If not for the draft we could have just signed Jack Leiter for example, or other top highly drafted prospects throughout baseball.
Yankees drafted Leiter 2 years ago.
If they offered him more money then they could have signed him.

Yankees didn’t want to go overslot and didn’t sign Leiter.

Your rant on the Toronto Mercenaries is still an alltime.

I disagree. I believe he topped himself with a shot at Ohtani. Wondering if he is so good why are they just one game over .500. He must have missed the HR's he hit at Yankee Stadium last week. By the way, they also drafted Cole out of high school and let him slip through their fingers too. See, the jays and rays don't make those kind of mistakes.

Yeah we drafted Cole and gave him a blank check. He was from a well off family and wanted to go to college to develop his craft.

No one turns down a blank check to play for free. Be smarter than that. Whatever they offered, it wasn't enough. Did you offer Leiter a blank check?

Who gets the blame for that All Star abomination--MLB, Fox, or both?

From the generic uniforms and caps, to the decidedly unpatriotic American flag patches, to the micing of and talking to the players in the middle of the action, that was awful. Too bad for the broadcast "partners"--an actual baseball game broke out occasionally.

had Vlad Jr not hit that moon shot, there would be literally nothing to take from that game

The uniforms and caps bothered me. Seems like you would want to try to market your stars on a stage like this and have them in their regular uniforms so fans would recognize them.
