Stanton in a heartbeat. They're paying ~$150m for a fragile RH DH. Those guys are common.

Cole can still pitch. Maybe just not as well without spider tack, but he's still a top pitcher in this game.

Offensively Gallo is basically a lefty swinging Stanton but with a batting average 40 points lower and even higher strikeout rate. Yikes. Another HR or bust player. Except he's a plus defender in the OF. Yankees would be far better adding players like Micheal Brantley of the Astros. A .300 hitting doubles machine with speed with low K rate. But Cashman never has any interest in those type of players.

Since the first 4 hitters in the lineup, he's gone 5 innings, 1 hit, no walks, 10 Ks.

Maybe he didn't warm up well, not sure, but he really settled down.

Unfortunately, those first 4 hitters count, and the Yankee offense has done nothing against this kid on the mound.

Our biased Yankee fans will spin it that way. Most of what I have read says the Rangers made out well. Two of the players would slot into the Rangers’ top ten prospects. Of course prospect rankings vary greatly and we have no idea how organizations actually rank these players.
