2022-23 Portal Cup

When a kid like McNamara goes into the portal and chooses a school the next day or two there was probably tampering.
And look at where he is going and the offense problems they have had...not like he is jumping on a juggernaut quickly before someone else does.

My son is PISSED. This kid led the conf in receiving. He is an NFL guy in waiting, and GETTING there in Arizona. Yet is leaving for...uncertainty. This crap is stupid.

It’s early in this cycle but so far Dino has been a transfer winner. The roster improvement has far outweighed the departures since this stuff started
This stuff is hardly bad for Syracuse.

How are any young QBs going to ever play when no one graduates and they switch teams every year.

I just don't get what these kids want. They want to play on Sundays right? if you are leading a power 5 conference in receiving, you WILL get that shot. Why go somewhere else where, you may NOT fit as well? Just doesnt make sense.

Maybe he wants to play for a contender and a chance to win a ring? I know I would

Per 247 Sports there are currently 912 players in the portal. WOwzers.

I don't suppose there is a way for the public to see who is actually in the portal? The 24/7 site seems clunky and I dont think lists everyone

This was an announcement on their live YouTube show that is happening right now.

Crazy. You almost need a staff at school to weed through all the portal players to find possible contributors.

Maybe the kid is a fringe day 2/3 player and thinks playing at the SEC or higher level program than UoA can get them that 1st round money.
Being a good player on a crappy team is different than being a good player on a great team.
Betting on yourself works
