Who offered three first rounders?
The answer today is Washington did. There were many teams that offered package similar to Denver or more and with a no trade clause, he chose Denver. That’s why in this case, what Seattle got from Denver doesn’t tell the whole story on his real “value” or what they could’ve got without a no trade.

Well we can cross the "Commanders" off the list as potential NFCEast winners next year.

Here's a guarantee: Carson Wentz will alienate many of his teammates. Those who don't learn from history...

Whether someone can clean up his AYFKM mistakes, nobody has yet. Dysfunctional franchise, dysfunctional QB. Not sure a good coach can overcome that. I do like the coach, though.

But... why?
despite the reputation. He had a solid year last year .. 27 TD. Only 7 Int . 3500 yards… what killed him is the last two games where he was coming off of having COVID. I doubt the gap going forward between he and Wilson is that wide

I disagree. Here's why. Because of the Colts' emphasis on the running game, Wentz was rarely called upon to put the team on his back. He was a game manager. When he had to become more than that, he flamed out. And it's not as if that was the exception to the rule. The pattern is clear: When the chips are down, he'll choke.

I think Rivera is a good coach, too. But his expertise is defense. The key will be whether his OC/QB coach can get more out of Wentz. Wentz got lucky in one respect. He landed in one of the weakest divisions in the NFC.

The Wentz/Indy match seemed good on paper precisely because Reich had worked with him in Philly. Didn't work out that way.

Don't see this ending well.

I was just pointing out that Rivera is not the one that will get more out of Wentz. Not his thing even though he's a good HC. Whether that happens or not will depend on the offensive coaches. Not predicting either way how that turns out but two third rounders is not a massive giveaway imo. It's the $$$ side that seems to be the worst part of it for Washington.

Think they can dump him after one year with no dead money.

Indy needs a QB. Not many left out there.

Not sure there are many that are an upgrade over Wentz. Slim pickings.

So you’re saying against Jacksonville … Wentz was expected to be a hero and lead them to victory because that’s the only way they could conceive of defeating the mighty jags? Or did the entire team take a dump ? Also … game before against the raiders … he made a potential game winning throw to a receiver who flat out dropped it … (think it was Hilton) I don’t think he’s great .. but people are acting as if he’s Nathan Peterman

The whole team took a dump against the Jags, from start to finish. I watched that entire game cuz I wagered on it. Jonathan Taylor got stuffed on several 3rd/4th and ones and the defense could not get off the field against an impotent Jags offense. Wentz stunk that game but he had plenty of help.

Yup … I don’t think you can put it all on him .. they got tight and nervous … the game at AZ couple weeks before .. Wentz threw some absolute dimes ..

I had heard there was a team that basically had a done deal for Ridley a few weeks ago. Turns out that team was the Eagles. Good on the Falcons for backing out of it since they were sitting on information nobody else knew.

The Birds continue that never ending search for a WR.
