Granted he was like a year or two younger than a lot of freshmen but yeah, awful performance this season and he tested out as one of the worst athletes you’ll ever see in the NBA style combine testing they did at Memphis.

I also remember seeing him in high school and he shot like 38% from the field even there. Never really understood the hype with him. Seems like he peaked early in high school and has been coasting for years.

That is weird. He got a scholarship this year after 2 walk on years and a pretty meh high school career. His mother(Coach K’s daughter) is an assistant athletic director at Duke. He got into some trouble for a DWI type offense while driving Banchero a while ago. Just strange - no Duke diploma? Sounds like with the Tommy Amaker story etc that there has been some Anti coach K movement at Duke.

Yes, he did. The portal has been around since 2018 he transferred in 2020 which would have required him to enter the portal and get a waiver for immediate eligibility since the 1 time transfer without penalty wasnt in effect yet.

I’m speaking immediate eligibility. It wasn’t there when he left. Don’t care what the process was called. Calling it the portal didn’t mean anything until immediate eligibility was included.
