2023 Spring Game Friday April 21st

Random: I hate seeing WRs wearing those curved plexi face shields. I think they distort vision, and there has to be increased glare from the lights.

Lamson>CDRW.

Wilson burned deep twice.

Like what I saw from Jacquez & Jobity.

Good depth at WR. Really interested to see if Jones can be the solid #2 to OG.

Need more at OL. Hopefully Reed, Moeolo and the possible transfer from Tulsa reinforce the OL.

I'd hit the portal for CB. Johnson and Wilson is a major step down from Garrett and Duce.

If Denaburg straightens it out, he'll take a run at the longest field goal in SU history.

Clement is huge. Thought he was an OL.

Might be time to have "the talk" with Kauhi.

Absolutey right on. Especially the ones I bolded.

That would be nice. But, realistically, only Colgate provides that possibility.
Western Michigan might too. I know computer rankings don’t matter at the end of the day, but the ones I have seen have them around 125th in the FBS. But U Conn was ranked there too last year and they hung around a bit, so you might be right

Agree that Wilson is a step down. I feel Johnson will be a lock down corner. They may move Clark to cb or hit the portal for another cb. We have some depth at safety with Gould and others.
I would like to see another CB brought in, we have 6 openings as of today and I would assume a couple more kids could portal with spring ball now done. Plenty of room to add 2 OL, CB and maybe a couple of skill position guys

Storm Duck the 2nd team all ACC CB is back in the portal after leaving Penn State yesterday. He has transferred in from North Carolina. Would be a plug and play guy but I’m guessing he’ll have lots of options.

He will but if there is one position where we can compete with the big boys, at least for portal help, it’s CB, or safety

I think Johnson will be solid but collectively the group has me nervous. Lots of inexperience and if guys can banged up we can be in trouble. We need Peterson to develop too.

Wilson can’t defend big, strong receivers. I remember him getting mauled against FSU last year. They practically picked him up and tossed him around. It was pretty pathetic.

Agree. Need to get a more physical 2nd corner.

What about Delaine? Wasn't he supposed to be a pretty big recruit?

I'm nervous as can be about our CB's. Hoping we can move 1 of our safeties over to CB. Secondary is thin and Dline is deep. It's like bizzaro world.

You liked Parkman? Did Daniels play, I personally like Daniels a bit more than Parkman but didn't seem to remember him in this Spring game.

Some of the game is a blur to me (trying to watch too much at once) but what I get from Parkman is a Mungro effect, 4 to 6 yards a carry.

Daniels from what I've heard has more of a top speed but sadly Sudano I don't remember him carrying the ball Friday night though I may have missed it. I think we'll be pleased with both these young RB's.

This is where the DL and LB's stepping up and playing like we think they can would help give those DB's some time to develop and hide some of their flaws.

Stuff the run game and force some 3rd and longs. Make that QB throw in fear.

Interested to know what you saw in the game that gave you that impression
We actually talked about this same thing last year. I said he has a way of dropping balls to receivers that they don’t have to slowdown for. I said the 2 td were a great pic of what I meant and I believe u said u didn’t see enough of him yet or he hasn’t shown enough. I forget.
