ExactlySome schools are clearly not messing around. They know they need strong coaches to succeed in the current environment.
Meanwhile, SU is sticking with Red…….
Watching. They certainly play with more energy and defend better. But he’s been running the same iso offense we’ve seen here. Those wanting him and expecting some fancy ball movement type of system are gonna be pi$$ed.
Feels like Minnesota would be insane to not hire him right?I didn't watch that particular game but the games I watched, they looked very similar to 'Bama on offense just a less skilled version. They run lots of pick-and-roll type sets. Look to isolate mismatches and either use those mismatches to get to the rim or draw double teams to kick out for 3s. Very little mid-range at all. This is very modern-day basketball.
The name that continues to impress me is Niko Medved I think I mentioned him on this board like 3 years ago as a name that is jumping out to me. I think he is an excellent coach as well and someone I would keep an eye on. He has made the tournament 3 out of the last 4 years out of the Mountain West.

Lots of folks up here (in MN) are certain Medved to Minnesota is a done deal. We'll seeFeels like Minnesota would be insane to not hire him right?

Yup. I think he's regarded highly enough at this point to choose something betterIt would be a good hire for them if that happens I think he is a very good coach but I think that job is terrible
He will be available in 2 years once Red gets canned after year 4Hodgson to UNLV. Nice job Wildhack
Maybe, rather be early. Can this school afford a high sought after candidate? Seems like the dollar store is more their speedHe will be available in 2 years once Red gets canned after year 4
I agree 100%, was more of a joke. I don’t think we want to spend the cash. I expect us to hire GMAC and call it a dayMaybe, rather be early. Can this school afford a high sought after candidate? Seems like the dollar store is more their speed
Yeah Minnesota is a dead end P5 job. He’ll probably pull a Darian DeVries (WVU to Indiana) in a year or two and upgrade to a more high profile program. Medved would be a fantastic hire for us.It would be a good hire for them if that happens I think he is a very good coach but I think that job is terrible
After next season if Red fails to pull a massive turnaround. He will be available in 2 years once Red gets canned after year 4
Read this 5 times before I figured out what "reporting gophers" were.Damn espn reporting gophers got medved

UNLV seems to have major financial issues. If Hodgson puts together a good year he can easily be one-and-done to Cuse.
Yep, that buyout figure will tell us everything we need to know about his candidacy next year.Maybe, rather be early. Can this school afford a high sought after candidate? Seems like the dollar store is more their speed
