2024 Seating Changes

If you have 8 seats, instead of selecting "QTY 8", has anyone tried selecting "QTY 4", adding 4 seats to the cart, then repeating for the other 4 seats one row farther back?
It makes me wonder what the system would if you chose seats on either side of an aisle

All red lots are now full. No West, No VA Garage, nothing. Oh, and my "helpful" rep suggested I get a seat in section 101 since my seat was taken by students and there's nothing comparable available in the opposite endzone.

I found a ticket on the aisle a few rows back and selected that, only to be told that I couldn't have that available ticket. When I asked why, he said that they don't sell single seats on the aisle. I said, "So, I'm being penalized because I'm only buying one seat?" He didn't say yes in so many words, but that was pretty much the vibe. Why he thought I'd jump at the chance to go from paying $150 a ticket to $725 is beyond me. "I'm sorry, we don't have anymore Ford Fiesta's available. Perhaps you'd be interested in this Escalade." Not the most customer friendly experience I've ever had. If it wasn't for the prospect of seeing what this new staff brings to the table in the fall, I might have just asked for a refund and stayed home. If next year doesn't open up a preferable seat or better parking opportunities, I will.

The historical building they just gutted and renovated?

They didn’t gut it. Redoing offices and some internal spaces is allowed for historical buildings. The only exterior work was the rebuild of the back section which burned many years ago. You won’t see it attached to Miron.

Yes, that's what I did. I had to put 4 aisle seats in my cart, then select the 4 aisle seats behind the original 4 and add those to my cart separately. Otherwise it wanted me to pick 8 in a row. But it did take me a minute to figure out how to do that.

I thought I would have no issues on Friday renewing my 4 seats in 315 Row I so I wasn't sweating the process at all. Then I got on and the whole section of 315 was blocked out. No advance notice was provided that this section wouldn't be sold so I kind of panicked. I was definitely thrown for a loop.

I have sat there for 15+ years and love my "football friends" in that section. Immediately texted some people from my section (who I had numbers for) and was unable to connect with them prior to making my new selection. After the fact, I found out 2 groups had moved elsewhere and 1 group had yet to select so they will try to follow me into my new corner section of 322.

I found myself very angry that my whole section would all be split up after so many years together. While these people haven't been friends in the normal sense, they know more about my passion for SU sports than most and I renewed the same seats to be with them year after year.

I know all of this had to be done, I'm just a little miffed that I didn't know in advance so other plans could have been made. At least I got parking in UNVN so I guess I should be happy with that piece.

Anyway, I'll get over it but still have a bad taste in my mouth about the lack of notification.

Onward and upward, a new start for the program and for all of us fanatics who follow them through the good and bad.

P.S. If you're loud and proud of Syracuse football, come to 322

I would say redoing the inside and having new offices/spaces is a gut. Inside looked like all new finish.

They also added like 10,000 sf of space. Thats cool but connecting a roof is in violation of NHPA? I believe all sections of the building were over 50 years old.

I know part of that project included some stormwater stuff. I wonder if they calculated the MVC project/area into it in anticipation.

This is where my dad and I are. They better win us back or I will go funnel cash to my actual Alma mater.

But you still have to buy two Ford Fiestas, because one will always be in the shop.

1. Leaving a single on an aisle is a no-no. At least if it's int he middle of a section there are a few options for people to buy if you didn't renew.
2. Of course a ticket sales rep is going to try and upsell you. Why wouldn't they ask you if you wanted a better seat? Especially if you're looking to switch in a year, it's a nice year to try something new.
3. You'll never have a 100% renewal, things will open up next year.

So if there are 3 tickets on an aisle you can only buy all 3 even if you only want 1 but if there are 3 seats in the middle you can buy just one?

They would not sell us 2 of the open 3 in the middle of a row. Rep said we had to buy all 3. Not sure if he would have sold us 1.

The Ticketmaster and ProVenue websites do the same thing when you purchase Syracuse Crunch & Syracuse Mets tickets.

If three seats are open they will let you buy one seat on either end but not two because that leaves one seat open.

1. If I was allowed to take the aisle it wouldn’t be open. The open seat would be the next one over.

2. I’m sure he’s got access to at least some if not all of my previous 22 years as a season ticket holder. Moving from the third deck in the end zone to first deck at midfield is not just asking if I want a better seat, it’s asking for a major change in purchasing habits and financial commitment that have never been displayed in the previous two decades. Suggesting I move below to the 200 level, or closer to the middle in the 300s would’ve been a much more realistic ask.

3. As I stated, I’ll see how things are looking at the start of next year before making a decision about the future.

I get why they do it, I guess we just feel a bit duped. My dad has had seasons since the dome opened and our rep even talked us into moving up a donation level and we still couldn’t get the seats we wanted, and when we found ones one section over we were screwed because of the 3. We did just barely sneak into West Lot, which is great, but now with the parking craziness it seems like the tailgate is having issues as well. We are townies who generously donate our money and time to a school none of our family attended. I hope the school made their cash grab and I hope those people actually show up and don’t no show or sell their tickets.

Hopefully next year we can move back into the area we want, or maybe our run comes to an end and we find a new place to spend our time and money.

Hope you can get back to your spot next year. We unequivocally need locals to be at both tailgates and games, and en masse. I'd guess 75% of the Dome resides in the 315. We need everyone. You and all the 315 are loved and so needed, keep comin'!!!!

Kind of sad how many of these stories are popping up where it’s “I’ll see what happens next year but they might have lost me”

Id like to think most of us in this boat will renew once we realize it’s actually okay, however, there’s the possibility we don’t.

And for every one person that posts their disappointment on here, there is probably 5-10 more that don’t know this site exists and feels the same I would imagine.

I would roughly say it’s 50/50 with people happy and people upset

I'm there. Approaching semi retirement where we winter south, RDU, the plan has been to wait until Dec 1 every year, as SU football has been our thing for many years. This year in my new seats will determine if future donations go to tobacco road, and we leave 3 months earlier.

So, because you would be leaving earlier to winter in the south, you would change your team allegiance and root for a team there??

Allegiance is a tough answer. Attendance is not. It's a conundrum, but it's my name image and likeness at stake now. Im a free agent. LOL

Probably closer to 80/20. A lot of people don't care as much as you think they do. There's a vocal minority which probably skews your thinking here but at the end of the day for most people they just want to go to the game.
