hackett got 1/4 or so of the time of the 1st midfield. he was in witness protection the front half of the year. when he finally got in, he had no problem getting by guys. and he can shoot. and pass.Definitely curious to see if he draws ACC/Big 10 interest again. I would assume so. He has speed to burn for sure. He is a lefty so I wonder how that would work with Leo at midfield already (and Anderson/Deere on attack). Would he be open to the second line? Syracuse is in a weird spot when adding transfers on offense. Feels like they need to add more juice, but the fit has to be right. I
If Kyle Colsey does indeed leave that's two lefties who could play midfield leaving Charlottesville. Their top three midfield recruits for this year are all listed as righties by IL. Sean Browne who is recovering from injury is a lefty, but a natural attackman. Seems like one of UVA's biggest issues has been having too many attackmen and not enough natural midfielders. This doesn't help.
att @ mid is kind of a misnomer for the hoos. they weren't stacking guys like duke, nd, and unc have been able to do, but hoo does? terenzi was out essentially all year, their 2 biggest o mid recruits the last 2 years have been put @ ssdm (hausmann, burt). and 4 of the top 6 mids were actually midfielders, and 1of the 2 was balsamo hoo had been nothing but a mid in college (and also barely played). they do lose schutz and walshe, as well as att convert mencke, and now likely hackett.
