Great meeting you too!Nice meeting you guys.

I love all the stuff they do on the screens. I just really wish I could hear it.I believe they are trying to bring a bit of the TV experience inside the Dome, adding real-time commentary on the game. The problem is that the acoustics are so bad that you really can't hear/understand what they are saying.
College football is still very popular in the US.
Technological advances allow people the option of staying at their homes, watching the game from the confines of their couch, with endless amounts of cheaper food and beverages, and no lines for the bathrooms. Might sound lazy, but it's a fact.
Don't get me wrong, I love being at the games. Completely different experience IMHO.
The shift in collegiate athletics to stay at home and watch games on their 65" 4K TV's is not going to abruptly reverse anytime soon (sans the marquee games).
I do not expect in-game attendance numbers to make any remarkable recoveries anytime soon. Carry on.
yes in my section we were like what are they reviewing this time ?
speaking of reviews, why exactly did they review that block punt? The one where Pierce leveled the punter? That made no unless I missed something.
whether pierce got him in the head. it was close.
I believe Vagner recovered the muffed snap.Wouldn't they flag him for targeting though before they review it? Did they flag him? The other thing I thought was who recovered the block but that wouldn't have mattered either as that was 4th down.
I dont have the answers. All i know is , there weren't the usual excuses and distractions present that resulted in the worst home opener attendance in 35 years including the grob years.
Exactly. That attendance would have been 35-40k at many other schools.Except Wildhack insists on reporting actual number of ticketed fans who enter the arena. Previous ADs reported attendance as tickets sold PLUS anyone who entered the arena including security, concession workers and staff. There have been many crowds smaller than Saturday in the last few years.

It looked like he (Pierce) had his arm out straight and just flattened the punter around his shoulder. Kind of looked like something bullies do to their smaller victims. It was kid of borderline but looked low enough to be ok/legal. I could see why they'd want to look at it again.

Our recent attendance drop (I forget the year where we randomly took a several k hit) was caused by a change in our accounting methods, not declines in fan interest.
Targeting is my guess. That or spot of the ball. I believe it was Pierce who gave the punter a pretty good forearm shiver a la Iron Mike Sharpe. I think they wanted to see if that was to the head or, as was the case, to the punter's right shoulder.why review it though?
