3-0... 1991, wow.

Is that still the last Florida non conference road game outside of Florida?

Yes, although they are going to open against Michigan in Jerry World to start the 2017 season. When that was announced, they mentioned the game at SU in 1991 was their last OOC game outside the state.

I was 28, it was the year before I met the man that liked to make mute points and not drive on the meridian. Damn, how I would like to go back and rethink WHAT THE HELL I WAS DOING that entire decade

Our scheduling was much different back then, although we didn't go 3-0 much we had some good seasons. We'd play the kickoff classic a bunch of times , then other tough teams in week 2 and 3.

Lots of good teams on the slate back then.

Desert Storm, September 1991 I was sitting in the Desert of Oman supporting Desert Storm. We left Griffiss on Aug 26th (my birthday) and didn't get back until April 1992. Fun times.

Here is weedsportwarriors just doing his thing back in the day:

I was at Skytop preschool in '91, where Andrew Dees and Marvin Graves helped out from time to time.

To echo some earlier sentiments from the 20's crowd here, it has been rough to watch SU football. But when the time comes for them to rise again it will be oh so sweet.

I hate to break up the trip down memory lane, but I'll contemplate 3-0 after we earn the win. Bad karma to do otherwise.
Guys...i really think we need to look forward to the USF game to get us to 5-0.

I was 35, living in Virginia, and with a second child on the way. I was building cool things for people with money and life was good. I didn't get to Syracuse much but I had a guy working for me who was an ardent West Virginia fan. After we watched the 91 game together I went to the 92 game in Morgantown with him, where I barely escaped in one piece. Our section was rowdy after this:

It may have been a tad ugly, but it was a great win on the road and a memorable event. That's one thing that's kept me a fan all these years...Marvin Graves was a great player for SU and I hope Dungey can continue the tradition of SU's great QB's leading the way.
