Too much good basketball between now and then! I don't want to rush things. As it is, the days are flying by at an alarming rate of speed. But I do agree that the first week-end of the tournament can't be surpassed. I make no plans. My husband has long ago given up on any kind of meaningful interaction during those 4 days. I usually end up with the feeling that my brain has been scrunched into my head cavity sideways. It is what it is.

College basketball makes winter at least managable. But there is nothing like March Madness...brackets, nicer weather, sunshine, games upon games of college basketball all day and night for 4 straight days that first weekend, buzzer beaters, upsets, big shots...aint nothing better in life, I'm convinced.

In fact, I used to say "heaven was a fantasy football draft night", but I think I can now replace that with "heaven is the first weekend of the NCAA college basketball tournament"...if there was only a way to "draft" teams for it, instead of doing the bracketts...it would be the only thing that would make it even better.

The anticipation and excitement of selection Sunday is the closest thing in my adult life that has come to chrismas eve and running downstairs and seeing the presents under the tree.
