Syracuse used to get some fans like that too, beyond the local and school fanbase. I'm an example -- as a 12 year old who grow up on the Canadian side of the border with rabbit ears and limited sport choices beyond hockey... Syracuse was on the CBS / ABC affiliates all the time, as I was introducing myself to college basketball.

We once organized a weekend trip (3 hours) where about 40-45 high school kids from the area took a bus up to Syracuse to watch a game in the early 90's. I'm not sure any kids in the local high schools now even know much anything about Syracuse much less cheer for them.

Unfortunately we have far less presence, brand or quality results to attract people that far outside of Syracuse.

The state of the program has reached beyond pathetic.

I don’t know why anyone would buy right from SU/TM anymore. Honestly don’t know why you’d buy nosebleed seasons now either.

Can almost guarantee you I could save several hundred dollars on a comparable seat by buying on StubHub day off for every game than buying season tickets.

It already is a national embarrassment. We are not competitive with anyone good and a sure victory marked in schedules when fans look ahead. Duke could name the score against us . Spread will likely by 20-22 and the only way we cover is if dook goes up by 30 and stops playing. Eddie can get some rebounds and buckets late .

Yeah there is very little reason to buy season tickets as could get a good seat for each game for cheap on the secondary market. I think I saw dook tickets for $14 in the 300 section. Most other games they are under $5
