ACC, PAC-12, and BIG alliance / conference realignment

Let's make it 32.

The playoffs can continue past the Super Bowl.
Why not match the hoops tournament and go to 64 or 68?
It just doubles the length of the overall season. $20.5M will need to bump up to $40M.

I saw the slides the other day...lots of good info in them

What do people think are the private school rankings among ACC member schools estimated athletics budgets? I’m assuming Notre Dame is 1, Stanford is 4, Miami is 6, Duke is 7, Syracuse is 15 (sad), then BC, SMU and Wake?

Why do you assume Syracuse is #15? Do we have any information on that? The question I have had and raised it in the Basketball Forum regarding a discussion of the breakeven point for basketball game attendence, is how does Syracuse account for the costs of the Dome? I would think that fully including the cost of the new renovations, even on a pro rata basis, would inflate SU's stated budget.

It says operating budget estimates not athletic operating budget estimates.

But it says "ACC" Operating Budget Estimates. That implies athletic operating budgets. What else would it be?
The ACC conference? It could be just for athletics but I was surprised it didn’t say it.

If you look in the lower right hand corner of the slide it says: "Virginia Tech Athletics Budget and Resources: Peer Analysis". That's likely the title to the deck of slides of which this is one. And this one is to compare VT's athletics budget to those of the other ACC schools.

Why not 128 ….. 8 game regular season . Of course a short season for the 8 teams that don’t make it .
They could do something where they play some games against others that lost or were knocked out early.
