I wish as a sports fan I could give you the 2019 New England Patriots season where they went 12-4 and got bounced in the wild card at home.

Lions fans would appreciate that type of season. Then you wouldn’t have to hear about restoring the roar.

Our fanbase doesn’t get how bad last year was.
Like I can’t express how bad that season was and how Dino honestly better get the job done this year.
That offense was so bad it was an embarrassment.
The Louisville national TV game should be played 24-7 in the facility. That game still frustrates me how how horribly the coaches did preparing the team.

I agree. This season for SU is extremely important for multiple reasons. Need at least 6 wins and once again build it from there.

So - you're saying that, coming off of a 10-3 season, that people had higher expectations vs. coming off of a 1-10 season?

Hmmm. Never woulda guessed that.

I'm saying they just vote off of the previous year's standings. Which they did this year almost exactly, except they gave Florida State a small Florida State Bump.

The unfortunate thing is that you rarely go wrong picking SU to be bad based on the fact that we were bad the previous year.

Those 12 months where our football image wasn't absolute trash sure were fun.

The 4 win and 5 win seasons are certainly bad. But at least teams knew they had to do more than make sure the bus didn't crash so they could win (well, a few of them just had to get off the bus in that weird 5 win season).

1 win seasons are a special kind of bad. The kind that only a GRob could love.

I just don't think people should get bent out of shape about the preseason predictions. Might actually motivate our team. Terrible perception for now, but a quick 3-0 start against the weakest part of the schedule would help.

A not 3-0 start would mean to go ahead and put a frame on the preseason rankings.

I'm with you, 4-5 wins seasons just means we're irrelevant, as opposed to being aggressively mocked like after our 1 and 2 win seasons.

I put as much stock in preseason media predictions as I do in preseason camp reports that suggest our 1 win team has all-ACC talent all over the field. Those should be coming soon.

Honestly, we probably need to get 9 or 10 wins again this year. Then next year would be a year where you cannot fall flat on your face, and would need 7-8. Because then people with short memories can be fooled into the belief it was covids fault.
