Amba Etta-Day2

thats what i was thinking. i think drops as a whole went down for the WR core this year.

If he goes beyond the 4th rd, teams are just being robotic looking at his combine numbers instead of his tape. The teams that look at him subjectivity will find a steal;)

Looks kinda like a poor man's Devante Parker at the combine but i think he'll land on a team like the Patriots/Cowboys/G men and kick some serious serious ace.

6th round at best. Had a terrible combine. He has talent for sure but better work on his ST play.

You mean "The teams that look at him through orange colored glasses" will find a steal?

The guy had one excellent season. That doesn't mean he's a top 3 round guy. It's not an insult.

There were definitely some extenuating circumstances with his performance at the Senior Bowl [playing with a broken finger], but unfortunately the NFL draft is heavy on measureables -- right, wrong, or indifferent. I think that Etta-Tawo could have overcome [easily] the poor Senior Bowl practices with a solid combine, but he underperformed -- so instead of erasing the question marks, he gave scouts even more things to question.

Also important to keep in mind that he had a mixed reputation heading into this year. Seems like NFL front offices were skeptical of his production, given his lack of production at Maryland. He could have eradicated all of that talk with how he performed at the Senior Bowl / Combine, but didn't silence the critics. Instead, he gave the skeptics more reason to doubt his abilities. Sucks.

Great NFL receivers are found in every round. If he goes to the right situation and makes the most out of his chance, it doesn't matter where he gets drafted. If he's going to be a 6th/7th round guy, I'd almost rather he went undrafted.

if you guys want him to make a roster, then you don't want him drafted by or signed as a FA by...the Giants.

all set and no thank you anyway.

He'll get picked by the pats and you'll wish you had him when marshall implodes this season.

Pats don't need him.

Cooks, Edelman, Amendola, Hogan, Mitchell.

Explain Marcus Sales then?

I don’t know. Based on the above it’s just so hard to make a decision. One year and this is all he did!? Nah, it was probably a fluke. Not that fast - only 4.35. Undrafted.
;)

we need to retitle this thread...Amba Etta Day 3

for that's when he will be drafted.

The Bills could use him for sure. Even with the addition of the kid from ECU.

yeah we're a football school ! no players taken in 1st 3 rounds.
Meanwhile hoops has had 10 first rounders in the last 10 years or something like that.
