I'm a little young for the whole urologist thing (knock on wood) so i am not quite sure how it works, but if possible, you should try to tinkle on him a little bit.
Good idea, who'd mess with Tinkle

The 1991 Richmond Spiders suddenly like the Montana Grizzlies odds on Thursday.

Is it too late to become a Kentucky fan?

I know the NCAA moves slow, but "under investigation for a period of years" and they haven't found anything to charge us with. Not only that, but you would think that if the University knew it was "under investigation" they would have cleaned things up years ago.

For my sanity's sake, I'm going to hope that the so-called "source" has somehow misconstrued Syracuse having been under numerous investigations over the last few years with them being under a constant investigation that has uncovered something massive.

Oh gee, what timing! Why does this stuff not come out in like June? Why mid-March?
Exactly. Same thing last year. Still, no whistle blowers on UK. Ever.
I'll give you guys a riddle. Which one of these doesn't belong? Spoiler, scroll down for the answer.
Think I'm kidding? Paranoid? Reaching? The truth will come out once PayPalCal has left.

University drug policy's not required by NCAA but if broken there may be hell to pay! Makes sense I guess.lol

By far the best line that is getting no love:

"throw a dart at the ncaa manual and you'll hit a syracuse violation"

Thats pretty impressive.

They can't play in the post season for 4 years and they got fined $60 million. The NCAA came down hard on them.

I know. I get it. I am even married to a Penn Stater. Point is, I highly doubt Syracuse has anything that egregious to worry about and I don't foresee the Death Penalty. Many here are still screaming that Penn State hasn't been sanctioned enough; I don't see the need for us to get worked up at this juncture.

If they came down like they did on Penn State for something so horrific, all I can think here is that we'll lose some scholarships, maybe a year-two of post-season and be done. I sure hope it's that minor.

The fact this was leaked RIGHT now REALLY pisses me off.

Exactly. If there were actual substance to this story then it would at least seem to be eerily coincidental timing ... the fact that there is NO SUBSTANCE and is based entirely around quotes by an anonymous 3rd party, the timing of this is nothing short of shameful, disgraceful, pathetic, reprehensible. Take your pick. Throw a dart.

That's fine, it just seemed odd to group Penn State with Miami, when nothing has happened to Miami so far, and Penn State was sanctioned pretty severely. That's all.

Post-season bans are pretty hard to get. I'm not worried about that yet

The dart line...

“Throw a dart at the [NCAA] Manual [and you would hit a violation by Syracuse]."

Is a pretty strong statement. That implies that Syracuse is literally breaking every rule in the book.

Is Syracuse actually breaking every rule in the book?

That's a pretty strong statement hide behind the cloak of an unnamed source.

miami has self imposed post season bans... that is something.

Exactly, but maybe its why JB was taking about the APR after the Georgetown game in DC. He talked about how stupid the APR was after that game and I think he knows something is coming down the pipe. These violations will only take scholarships away and if we lose 3-5 basketball scholarships it won't kill the program and probation won't do anything. As long as we avoid a postseason ban these penalties just kill depth for a couple of years.

To follow that up, if Syracuse is breaking every rule in the book, I'm more than a little disappointed in the results. We could have at least gotten some championships out of the deal.

The next time JB is a dick to the media and we all clap (myself included)...remember these stories and why they always pop up the day before the tourney.

Yeppers. The man can be his own worst enemy.

If they had something they would talk about what they have. Sounds like a bunch of smoke and mirrors to me.

Good point. Reminds me of JB being sued for his over the top comments by Gloria and the boys. Maybe the University can show damages and take down Dodd.

Except none of their sanctions impact the 'culture' that fostered the cover-up. The postseason bans are a joke ... that they could still be competitive enough to make any postseason bowls in the next 4 years should be considered a miracle. We had a 4 year postseason ban without doing anything wrong, it was called Greg Robinson.

And those financial penalties are like trickle-down sanctions. Like telling your 5 year-old son you're taking 5% out of their college fund... that'll teach him!

Why do I get the feeling Forde is the little ring leader in this?
