Angeli has arrived

I agree that Angeli can be a good qb at SU. I don't agree that we will never see a Kyle McCord again. While McCord obviously is a good qb and had a great season (besides one game) it's not like he was Peyton Manning or Dan Marino. I think we absolutely can and should have another qb at the same level as McCord in the not too distant future.
Angeli May very well be. (My mouth, gods ears).

I assume you can get better with that as the game slows down.

I feel good knowing we have 2 and 3 P4 level ready QBs
With the way people are dropping these Collins anecdotes it sounds like we only have 1 P4 QB. Who knows really.

If you want a high, talk to kcsu. If you want to eat 20 lbs of ice cream out of the carton before dinner then talk to bnoro.

It took you two weeks to find a youtube clip?

Also, this is you when people say mean things about Adam Weitsman.
It popped up on my Instagram. I wasn't looking for anything. All I do when Adam comes up is include the truth as I know it. I don't start a discussion about him, but I don't think it's fair when people post falsehoods or offer their opinion as truth. I know you will laugh at this, and it's ok, because it shows that you have nothing of value to add. I've got nothing against you and I agree with many of your takes, but you have disrespected me personally on many occasions, that I dislike.

Here's my "nothing of value to add":

I'll always call it like I see it. I'll speak up for people and I don't like when people take shots at players, even if some think I overreacted a bit on Collins and the language used.

But I'll always stand up for I believe in, even if I get lit up by some folks on here. At the end of the day it's a message board and everyone has an opinion. I don't take it personally.

What I don't like is a "not naming names" with a video of some no-name comedian saying "don't be offended for other people" when we live in a society where marginalized people are under attack.

That's cool, I will stand shoulder to shoulder with you against the oppressed, but when the intent of the message is no where near prejudiced, simply a comment about a singular player from a first hand account with the coaches, don't jump at conclusions. Perhaps take some time and a personal discussion to understand the situation more before claiming someone biased.
Brad Williams is not a no-name comedian, he is AWESOME and well respected in the stand up community. Seriously, check him out. You disliked a post I had when I posted a video of his and I had the word "midget" in it. I suspect you disliked it using that word. I edited my post, as I didn't want to offend anyone. Part of the reason I posted what I did in THIS thread is that you disliked that post. I have had conversations with Brad. I replied to a post of his on Instagram where I said something that the some may imply as "insensitive". I dm'd him telling him that I meant no harm and I would remove it if he found it offensive, as I NEVER want to hurt anyone with my words. He replied telling me that it was hilarious and he was not insulted in the least. This was after having a few discussions with him about other things in the recent past.
Again, I respect you and your posts, and the only thing I dislike is stupid laughing emojis in lieu of constructive responses.

What the hell does any of this have to do with Angeli?
Absolutely nothing, I apologize, I piggy backed on a conversation. If it continues, I encourage those involved with me to continue privately.

The Athletic rates this year's college QBs.

School: Syracuse
Conference: ACC
Status: Transfer

#1-136

Angeli #61

Angeli was the odd man out of a three-man competition at Notre Dame this spring and quickly landed at Syracuse, where he’ll have to beat out LSU transfer Rickie Collins. Angeli demonstrated strong poise in a relief appearance in the Orange Bowl last season and looked good in a start against a decimated Oregon State team in the Sun Bowl the year before that. Outside of that, his game is still a mystery.

One might quibble over the number assigned, but otherwise a dead accurate assessment.

Are these the same guys who rated Kyle Mccord at number 14 in ACC quarterbacks before last season? Asking for a friend.

I think what is more relevant is the ranking of the combination of Angeli and Nixon (OC). I believe Nixon will get the most out of Angeli and our QB play will be top 30, not 61. We’ll see.

I think having a strong run game will help Angeli more than anything. With the beef we brought in on the OL and a beast like Willis ready to break out it should help the passing game. I think Willis will run for 1,000+. I just keep thinking of that TD run from last year where he got to the corner and out ran everyone. Someone with that size and speed is dangerous. I really think he could be the next Sean Tucker.

I think it is cool that Tennessee has to prepare for both... potentially different styles. Plus, if they are taking away what our starter does best, we can sub with a different skill set.
You are not going to sub out your game one starter for other than injury or incompetence. (Except perhaps some special packages)
