Annual College Draft

Eastern Pod:
Alabama
Florida
Auburn
Clemson
Louisville
Virginia
North Carolina State
UCF

Western Pod:
Southern California
Oregon
Stanford
Washington
Arizona State
Cal
BYU
Utah

Our strategy was simple. Get BRAND NAME schools to build our conference across the country. We have gathered up A LOT of television sets that will be very helpful in negotiating our own Conference TV Network.

In football, I think we have some of the best teams in the country. We will adapt a 9 game conference schedule. Schools will play all 7 teams within their pod and play 2 out of pod conference game per year. This will help set up our annual conference championship game, between the two top teams in each pod. When the College Playoff System expands from 4 teams to a larger playoff, we are confident this conference set up will allow us to have MULTIPLE teams in the system. We fully expect the National Champion in football to come from this group.

We do have quality basketball teams in our conference. Not only do we have quality teams, we have quality fan bases. This will help us with recruiting and TV deals. I think it's simple to see. There is no other conference better than the NAC.

The National Athletic Conference.

Oh you say we have four 4 Team PODS? We can do that too...and keep some of the best rivalries out there

The Two Eastern Pods:
EP 1.Alabama EP 2. Auburn
EP 1. Clemson EP 2. Florida
EP 1. Louisville EP 2. Virginia
EP 1. UCF EP 2. North Carolina State

The Two Western Pods:
WP 1. Southern California WP 2. Arizona State
WP 1. Cal WP 2. Stanford
WP 1. Oregon WP 2. Washington
WP 1. Utah WP 2. BYU

I aligned these PODs with their protected rivals...see Alabama/Auburn, Cal/Stanford, Oregon/Washington...etc...these are compelling matchups.

Each Pod would play their 3 teams in the Pod, 1 protected rival, 1 rival in another Pod and all 4 Rivals in the last Pod. 9 game schedule. They would continually rotate through everyone but always play their other 3 teams every year in their Pod. Their protected rival would always be played every year. In Hoops you would play either a 16 or 18 game schedule. 14 teams once and 1 team twice. 18 games would take 3 teams twice.

the mets & jets are happy.

thats the dumbest 'team building' and 'brand building' strategy in history.

your olympic sports are D.O.N.E.

same with your hoops.

enjoy your conf tournement wherever the hell you put it.

Conf UEO is in the Garden, tues-sat night.

and 'pod creation' is an internet unicorn.

its fantasy.

might as well follow that up with an internet petition to get them universally invoked.

thatll work.

That's the kind of smack I'm talking about.

and 'VALUE' at the end of the day, doesnt mean shlit. nobody in their right fluckin mind would take storz over bc or rut. it obviously makes zero sense in reality, and less than zero sense here in the draft.

I haven't crunched the numbers yet, but I will say the Tex Bauer conference would work in the East/West format if they played their 7 games within that division and then 1/2 games with the other division and for basketball playing h/h within your division and then 4 games in basketball with the other division it could work.

I don't have a problem if you don't like value, but the only reason the B1G added Rutgers over UConn was the cable boxes of NJ were double that of CT.

I don't see any interest in Rutgers beyond cable boxes they haven't won jack chit in any sport while atleast UConn hoops are elite. Why did you pick Rutgers over UConn just wondering,

of course it could.

and with a hammer i can fit a square peg into a round hole.

i have boston college, whats the point in storz??

and you also just pointed out the other bigger reason, double the cable boxes.

and if all we cared about were recent championships in the 2 big sports, then this wouldve been over by nature of the draft order as the teams with the most get drafted 1st.

from DC to Boston...its Conference UEO land.....

Can we get Kaiser, Chris, BK to give their conference configurations?

I'm sorry...too busy for Internet smack...TexBauer is setting up Primetime Football games on ESPN and ABC right now. ESPN/ABC wants to run 7 hours of TexBauer FB every Saturday Evening.

Conference UEO will be playing a 9 game schedule based on a 3-6-6 schedule format. tiebreakers are:

1. head to head
2. division record
3. common opponents record
4. common opponents in division record
5. strength of schedule
6. point differential

the set up.

Kaiser....UEO

Texas A&M....Notre Dame
Wisconsin......Michigan
Arkansas......Tennessee
Miss St........Kansas
Kansas St.....North Carolina
Maryland......Syracuse
Indiana.......Boston College
S Florida.......Rutgers

we have signed with NBC and will be providing a 3:3o and an 8pm game of the week for its new College Football Night in America Show. NBCSports will also have a 12pm a 3:30 mirror. the Championship game will also be at 8pm on NBC and will be held at either LucOil, Soldier, Ford Field or Giants Stadium. the college hoop tournament at Madison Square Garden will be televised by NBCSports from Tuesday-Thursday but the Semi's and Championship will be moving to Network for the 1st time ever, the value is just too much to pass up.

we have also been trying to announce that like all other conferences except 1, we will never play a team from the state of Utah, but we cant stop laughing long enough to do so.

TexBauer in a landslide. A first four of Alabama, Florida, Auburn and Southern California is about as good as it gets at the top. They get Stanford in the 7th. Washington in the 10th?!? They round it out with BYU in the 475th round which is great value. You get coast to coast coverage. You have some academic heavyweights in Cal, Stanford, and UVA. Basketball sucks but who cares.

Cool thread.

Impressive set up. Divisions are balanced you go from TX to MA not that bad. I have to admit right now Kaiser has the BB league, but BK is close enough to challenge after FB season. Of course FB matters more but with ND, Michigan, A&M, Wisconsin has a nice foundation. Suprised you didn't mirror Kansas-Kansas St, Miss St-North Carolina, as BB could always follow the SEC/ACC models and have 2 protected annual BB h/hs and get UNC-KU x2 for BB there.

Kaiser and Tex Bauer are set up now we need BK and Chris and I will finish crunching numbers.

Tex Bauer did a tremendous job getting 8 of the top 10 Pac-12 schools in one division and the other division has a monster FB top Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Clemson. These first 2 conferences are close thus far.

i didnt really match up. and as a matter of fact, i just switched the kansas' because kstate is a better football power and i felt i needed to balance it out. i will try to come up with the 3 eaches.

texbauer has 2 nice divisions for sure.

but under 1 conference flag, it just doesnt make sense. hell, the whole middle of the country is missing? What?

id like to offer a trade for virginia or lville, but nothing makes sense. theyre fodder for him, for me it would be real. those schools ADs wont stop calling me to take them. dont know what to do Commish...

i tried to keep it as regional as possible.

You have two compelling games there...so sad you had to sign with NBC...while TexBauer is pulling 7.5s with our huge brand names you'll be exposing your weak assed brand names on NBC 3 on channel 1297.3. You got us in hoops but FB is worth 80% and we are kicking your arse there. Arkansas, Tenn, UNC, Cuse are all undervalued right now in Football and they don't help you as much as you think. Right now...TexBauer has you beat. Five years from now I could see those four undervalued teams all doing much better.

Mr. TexBauer: You have ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX holding

SORRY no trades...we have a really nice setup and I doubt you would give us Tennessee and Arkansas

espn is so 1990s.

when people go to sit on the couch and watch football on saturdays and sunday nights...theres no need for a remote...NBC.

tennessee could wake up tomorrow and go 14-0, and they still get 110k a week in this down period.

ark, Cuse, miss st and unc are no worse than cal, utah, virgina & ncstate . and theres a reason why no one wants byu...

As Commish I honestly think they are some trades on the table to improve everyone a little. A&M-Arkansas is an underrated game I will say and Tennessee is a still elite FB brand.

I love Tex Bauer's top 4 in FB its tough between Chris and Tex Bauer to determine who has the best just top 4. It depends on how much you want to ding Penn State.

Said the man tied to 1950s NBC and second rate cable properties
They'll need a remote for the schlock games you'll be showing on the Versus Deerhunter Channel shown between Demolition Derbies and BaitCasting Shows
Tenn hasn't woken up in 10 years...and they are not selling out either
Our conference is inclusive and willing to work with BYU...getting TexBauer games throughout the world on BYUTV is an added plus.
